It's time to get INDIE! Today I'm taking on the indie game YOU have been requesting the most -- The Binding of Isaac. WHAT DOES THIS GAME MEAN? With 16 endings and all just as obscure as the last, it seems like this game has some deep things to say...but what are those things, exactly? Does Isaac die in the box? This is my favorite game theory Matpat has ever made even to this day. Here's me hoping that one of the final 9 game theories will be coming back to discuss The Binding of Isaac now that the game has seemingly finished its story. I wish Matpat and the new generation of theory hosts all the best.

So basically Isaac’s endings are the equivalent to the phrase “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”

Honestly this theory makes sense with repentance true ending if you think about it, after escaping the chest and his house he looks for his father, finds it and tells him the story he made and everything that happened, his father helped him to finish it and the stuff happening in true ending happens

Ok yes,as a christian myself I can say this game is totally accurate to the bible,and no I don’t feel like it’s making fun of religion,I think it’s showing an abusive parent that takes the story of Abraham too seriously and starts to go insane. Oh and also 4:37,he could’ve just made some new ones

You got to appreciate how far he will go and how much research he will dig into to make these theories it's really impressive

4:30 - I actually have a personal anecdote for this reason. I used to have things like pictures and toys be taken away from me because of (insert punishment/religious/evil reason here) only for them to forget the whole thing and let me replace my disposed belongings with "new" things. It wouldn't surprise me if Issac's mom let him draw new artwork or gave him new toys to use as a leverage to punish him.
