This half a decade old indie horror game surprised me so much! I have to save a hiker who is lost in Gracewind park while being hunted by something supernatural and terrifying!

ABOUT DO YOU COPY:
We work as a night watchmen in a place called Gracewind Park.
A place that is is known for people going missing in REALLY strange circumstances that
are difficult to explain. This has lead to a lot of rumours of creatures being associated with
those disappearances... Tonight we come face to face with that horror while trying to guide a hiker to safety.

Imagine this as a co-op game; one guiding the other in a randomly generated forest. How much would you trust your mate? Be fun as hell, I reckon.

Game is about communicating with a lost hiker to save his life Fooster: Never communicates with the person.
  • The way Fooster decides to completely ignore tasks and satisfy his own curiosity stresses me out way more than what’s happening in the game 😂
  • The “one mistake” that the creature was referring to was actually telling you that you made an error in telling the hiker to take a right on the first trail, which allowed the thing to corner the hiker and chase him through the woods.

what i love about Fooster after watching him for more than 4 years is that whenever there's a sudden dialogue, regardless of what he's doing, he will actually listen to it and try to understand what the heck is going on in game, which is very rare to content creators these days. and not only that, him and the boys are actually RP'ing whenever given the chance.

I like how a hiker needed help and fooster decided to just look as some papers lol 😂😂😂

Very few horror games actually freak me out but this game just gives me chills the entire time. Just the thought of a malicious entity with enough intelligence to mimic voices and take pleasure in taunting its victims make my very skin crawl

By the way, it matters how long the flood lights are on to get the different endings, if its flashing or only on for a second you can get the goatman to do different things then when you hold it on for a while. Also there are 6 endings, 2 where you die, 3 where the hiker dies, and 1 good ending where no one dies

I love how in a game about guiding a hiker to safety over the radio, he wonders if it's important that he answer questions on the radio.
  • Game has tons of potential, wish their were multiple stories and people to rescue with tons of different dialogue! Also be to leave the tower with your rifle and go out on foot and look for the lost hikers and roll with those types of scenarios

I really hope you plan on playing the second one! This was an absolute treat to watch. The second one is called Gracewind Tale, The Leed Murders!
  • My theory is the hiker talks to you for a bit but the creature is taking over at some point in the convo. It's all based on the voice. Some of it is intentionally hard to tell.

NPC in a life or death situation Fooster: let just look around.
  • This was freaking creepy. The fact that you have to listen to him taunt you is what would creep me tf out, and the way he speaks is terrifying. Hopefully there will be a bigger expansion in this, I really want to see a sequel to this.

"The likelihood is we're both going to die, but I'll do my best." had me laughing so hard. I watched that part like 10 times.

God I was screaming and yelling "Stop talking and pay attention to the radio" cos everytime when either the creature or hiker talk, you have to respond back to something because otherwise your gonna mess up
  • @SleepyAkrin
Imagine the realistic side of getting Fooster as your guide. You connect to a radio channel for help while you're lost in the woods and all you hear back is the classic "I'm so stressed!" Haha Another great video

Honestly, i wish there would be more "park ranger/park firewatch" horror games. Full of potential. You dont even need supernatural to make it scary, bears, big wolves and most importantly, weirdos in those woods would provide horror easily. If i would be actually talented to make games, i would make park ranger horror, ive had idea for it floating in my head for long time.

So...the mistake you made is assuming that the creature is "just" listening. No. You DO talk to the creature and the lost hiker. The objective is to guide the creature away from you and the hiker close to you. You gotta pay attention to the tone of vouce. The hiker IS desperate and really freaked out, while the creature sound calmer and angrier towards you and your wrong leads to him. I know you knda figured it out in the end, but just to reinforce that the creature was NOT just hearing or taunting you. It was TALKING to you!
  • @Dani-nl2id
The thing about this is if the creature can mimic voices and it's talking to you using the hiker's voice, then you have to assume it's also using your voice to talk to the hiker. Also, hiker may have gone bye bye earlier than we think. Really cool game!
