As someone that is Chinese, in which their grandparents moved around the period of the Civil War, but has family that lives in Portugal, Brazil and Macau, I wish this was what happened during the Civil war and that the Republic of China still maintained rule. It's sad how thousands of years of culture was destroyed, corrupted and lost thanks to the Cultural revolution, and the removal of religion such as Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism has led the country to what it is today, a moral-less husk of its former self.
