My father almost killed my mother when I was two. My mother was abusive and negligent as a parent and eventually got addicted to hard drugs. This would lead me down the path of being sexually abused by a grown man for nearly 6 years.

Today, I am a national award winning construction professional, soon to be author, ultra marathoner, husband, father and combat veteran.

I have lived an incredible life and I am telling my story to inspire others to live like I do and find strength in their darkest moments and memories. #survivorstories #trauma #healing

My friend, if we only knew the things people go through. You’re very brave, to be open and able to speak so clearly on such a traumatic time for you. The lovely family and the good things that are happening to you, you deserve. I’m 56, I have had trauma and a very few, very close friends know. My family doesn’t know. I did enjoy listening to your talk, obviously not the details but you were clear, easy to understand, your language was great, no hesitation.
