So I did the math… you would be at least 13 pressure washers to generate enough lift to get a 180-pound person (+ equipment) off the ground. Here’s my work: Assuming you used the best Commercial graded Mi-T-M pressure washer that gives you 4200 psi and 3.4 GPM, that would require a nozzle hole diameter of .048 inches. This would give an area of .00000117 m^2. Using that area and the 4200 psi, which equals 57,907,584 N/m^2, we can calculate the force generated using the equation Force = Pressure*Area. So that gives us a thrust of 67.69 N or just over 15 lbs of thrust for each pressure washer. So in order to generate enough lift for a 180lb person + equipment weight, you would need at least 13 pressure washers. TLDR; Anyone can fly like iron man with enough pressure washers.
