  • Pay attention to the vowels in spanish. Ah, Eh, EE, Oh, OO.... Like comida is C(oh)-Mee-dah.... Not Cuhmeedah. There's no Uh sound. The vowel pronunciation makes a "bug" difference.

They hate so much in the comments because they are not traveling.💯🛩️😂
  • Lol You didnt say anything in English, but you didnt say anything in Spanish either. You cant expect people to understand the words you mispronounced, especially when they dont have context to what you're talking about. You're a stranger saying "Cuuhmeeda", and they of course dont understand. Proper pronunciation is key to being understood.
  • @RonnieHeaden
You said donde and comida correctly but you said "es" instead of "está" so that may have thrown her off a bit. So, it seems she recognized you didn't speak Spanish well so she didn't want to be bothered.
  • Just a tip for everybody.. when you learn a language. Try to replicate the tonal sounds.. use your tongue rolls and the proper enunciation.. basically try not to sound like a american gringo thats too stubborn to learn. Its like other people coming to the USA and still using there native tongue to speak english..

Just to clarify things, the people who are saying it is an accent issue are NOT helping you. It is a pronunciation issue, not an accent issue. There are words that you are pronouncing completely wrong. For example, you said “cumida”, instead of “comida”. The concept of accent is irrelevant there. “Comida” is the most important word in your question that needed to be correct. The other words could have been imperfect.

Thanks auston the women treat you so good!!
  • @anonymou412
Much love Auston but remember people speaking English from other countries sometimes have hard to understand accents. You have an accent and each S. American country has a different Spanish Accent. And you can get tailor made leather in Buenos Aires.
  • @riddim
Your accent is really throwing things off, I had to learn to stop speaking Spanish in my accent

I’m going to be in Cartagena late June and brining my girl from Venezuela 🇻🇪 with me.
  • @goldenchild7317
Unfortunately knowing spanish does not account for the local dialect or slang....
  • @smurphy568
There's a young brother in Cali he's a YouTuber too. Dre's world is his channel. He seems to be having success without the Tomfoolery! A Colombian family basically adopted him.
  • @Passport_R
I've been there before....I wasn't too big on Cartagena... expensive and hot
  • @jqight740
13:10 Now that mall is nice. The Centro Mall. I was relieved when I got inside because it is hot 🥵 there and very humid and I walked from the clock tower and went through the San Diego neighborhood. But that is a very nice mall

I've been to Medellin. They have pretty much the same stores and food places in their malls too. Even in the USA most people don't want to be on camera. Polyglot Moses McCormick got to the point where he wore a hidden camera when he'd go out to level up his language skills in his local area. Medellin and Cartagena are very popular with foreign tourists, and a lot of locals are gringo-weary because foreigners come, try to take their women, and jack up the prices for everybody, especially those who stay. In Medellin, male co-workers and husbands would literally pull women away from me when I was just chatting with them for a while. One was a girl working at a Body Tech trying to sell gym memberships. I heard some Portunhol. Back to the women, the decent ones generally aren't going to give foreigners a chance because most don't stay there long enough to have serious relationships with. I heard the same is true in Belo Horizonte in Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is different, even by Brazilian standards. I liked Colombia too, and the women are beautiful, but I prefer Brazilian women over them. Even then, Brazilian women don't always make the best wives, and there is a lot of Red Pill content coming from Brazil.
