I didn't know I was going to go into labor when I started filming this video, but it all worked out and I was able to stay busy even though it was my longest labor yet!

  • You did right Steff by having control of your labour. My first labour was induced, and I thought I had no choice, so my experience as a very young Mum was just awful. I felt like a slab of meat just poked and pulled around 😢 I was not able to move around as I was wired up to equipment, just terrible. Yet, I realised it should not have been necessary as my son was only 2 days over the due date if that 😢 After that experience, I did not go to maternity until my labours were well progressed. Like you, I did housework and laundry and kept very busy, so my labours progressed and were trouble free 😊 My sons are all lovely young men now ❤ Your family is lovely, and your channel is so very inspiring ❤ Wow, those pies 😊

I wished i had your knowledge when I gave birth to my son at age 23. I thought I had to go to the hospital and thought i had to get an epidural. Biggest mistake of my life. They went too far with the needle. It slowed my progression down and I couldn't push because 2nd epidural worked. I had the absolute worst headache afterward and had a blood patch done to seal hole in my spine. It didn't work and had to go to the med in Memphis and have another blood patch. My back hurts in that spot til this day and that was 1988. I wished I had done without epidural and I would have had the perfect delivery!! Congratulations on your new arrival!! Love watching your videos!!

Your channel is very soothing and calming to my brain. Thank you for spreading the message that labor is natural and that we can trust our own bodies and selves.
  • I was 42 weeks and 1 day when my daughter decided to come….. I seriously couldn’t move by the time I delivered her 😂😂

Was so sick w nausea& vomiting with both my pregnancies for 4 1/2 months+ ..so when I finally started feeling better, I ate everything with gratefulness. Remember my ankles being like watermelons while working w 1st pregnancy..was so glad to be off my feet and barefoot..fyi..30yrs ago ;) P.S. I am clearly old enough to be your mother, yet drawn to your background in Nursing and educating& healing & listening to your body..thru all.. ages in life.

Girl! You’re making a pie while in labor! You are a super star! I was in early labor with my 5th and I didn’t even want to walk to the car!

You could really tell that you were in labor. You took on a different look and your tummy was a different shape. I will have to say you look so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing such a intimate time with us. God Bless

I'm a teen girl, and I found what you were saying about social media really helpful and insightful.

Love it. My first home birth was baby #5. I went into labor, cooked dinner, milked our goats, and laughed as my husband came in with dripping shorts from smashing eggs he had collected as he was trying to rush to get our bucks in the barn😂 hilarious. It was my 2nd longest labor, and im convinced that if I'd had to birth in hospital, they would have done an emergency c section. So grateful for that experience and looking forward to #6 in a few more weeks
  • I absolutely love this it reminds me so much of my labor, that I went through last year in october. I was going through my contractions but I could still talk so I just decided to continue making dinner doing my best to feed my animals and go about my daily life. And feed myself, your tips are the real deal. I wish a lot of women could experience labor like this.

So fun to listen to. Im 38+3 with my 7th baby but I always have gone early so we are expecting him any day. My last labor was an hour and 20 minutes so I feel a little more jumpy this time around and have pretty severe spd this time so I am barely able to be up walking but am trying to keep moving. So far my labors have all been 3-4 hours but I'm always nervous that one of these times i will have a hard, long labor and you took it with such stride! ❤ Love to hear from other mamas that have such a calm about delivery!

My first baby was born 5 weeks early. He stayed in the NICU for a month before I could take him home. He weighed 4 pounds when I took him home and he doubled his weight by his One month exam. My other 2 were a few days to a week late . Praise the lord they’ve always been healthy.

I admire you for sharing with us how your days were while waiting for your bundle of joy and also going about your day even while having contractions. You are a super mum and your baby is just gorgeous 😍 congratulations to you, your husband and family.

It's so beautiful listening to your story, I have been following you for some time now and have learned so much from you.     I know things are busy right now but I was curious if you'd ever consider doing a video on the cleaners you make/buy. I originally found you by your homemade laundry soap and I have gathered from your videos that you live a clean non toxic life and after your video that you were sponsored by earthy i headed right over to check it out and placed an order! Your videos are so  informative and fun and just make my soul happy. Thank you for sharing your way of life it has been such a huge inspiration for me on my spiritual homemaking journey!
