Love those splendid old trees - they are about all that remains.

I have a favorite book called Ghosts along the Mississippi, copy right 1948, by Clarence John Laughlin who was a photographer. I've had this book for at least 45 years. Belle Grove is in it, and I have always been completely fascinated with the house. When I saw this video come up I had to watch it, and it gave me chills. Beautiful video. Well done. I like the lack of commentary and the beautiful music. I'm subscribing as I see a lot of interesting videos on your channel.

The first house has such a beautiful setting. I just loved the long driveway and the old trees. Is the property being preserved? That broke my heart when I found out the second property had burnt down, a piece of history destroyed. The music you chose for the video was perfect!!

Homes today arenβt built nearly as good as these old historic homes! What a beautiful place she was in her day! Wonderful video! β€οΈππ€

Hauntingly Beautiful. I loved β€the wooden sign on the tree that was a magical touch by the previous owner. The pool said all !! The old school slide still in place. I can only imagine all the kids that have left the footprint of time on those steps. The second house is a testament to the grandure that belong to the south and her antebellum ways. Love your touch with the windchimes it add elegance to what to a house that has aged wonderfully. π₯°π

It's tragic there was no attempt to save Belle Grove before the inevitable fire. I'm no "Gone with the Wind" dream walker, but a nation's cultural traditions, especially the most prominent ones are worthy of preservation.

Thatβs first video with those beautiful majestic oaks was just absolutely beautiful I wanna, but I wouldβve bought the property just for the trees. There are beautiful the house maybe might have to tear it down, but it would make a beautiful beautiful home in there to accentuate those beautiful trees.

Belle Grove plantation mansion in Louisiana was THE LARGEST, not one of the largest. Belle Grove was called, "Queen of The South." Envied, but never replicated, it was the ultimate achievement in grand southern architecture. Vandalized, stripped, defaced, and rotting away, Belle Grove was destroyed by an arsonist in 1952 and burned to the ground. A tragedy to say the least. Long live the memory of the incomparable, magnificent Belle Grove Plantation of Louisiana. Such beautiful homes.such a shame to see them like this. β€

You portrayed them both beautifully. Thank you!

I would love to see someone that has the resources to go in and buy all that land back and completely rebuild Belle Grove House in the exact same footprint it was originally built. Restart a plantation on the land with whatever crops would be best. Love to see it built.

Thank you for this gorgeous video. Belle Grove was so fascinating, a true work of art. Luckily the second largest home still exists but it would have been nice to see Belle Grove.
