A slight drop in swell only elevated the tension for head-to-head battles with all-time matchups pushing competitors toward Finals Day draws in front of thousands packing the beach. Former CT veteran Kolohe Andino led the SoCal surge alongside fellow San Clemente standout Crosby Colapinto, Bella Kenworthy and Alyssa Spencer. But, a hefty international field awaits including former CT elite Sally Fitzgibbons and Miguel Pupo, Challenger Series threats Alan Cleland and Luana Silva, and many more. Now, the stage is set. The US Open of Surfing is one of Southern California’s biggest and best summer traditions. Former CT surfers and elite young talents battle at the Huntington Beach Pier in a crucial Challenger Series event. As the fourth stop of the Challenger Series, athletes will begin to secure their place on the 2025 Championship Tour at this event. In addition, the top longboarders will face off for the first time this season at the second event of the WSL Longboard Tour. And on the beach, there’s everything from live music to food and shopping to the X Games Vert Ramp. From dawn patrol to sunset sessions, there is something for everyone.
