  • Ralph Lauren exudes classic & sophistication. Nothing too flashy. Just amazing apparel all around. Also it's quality. Love the RRL line. If u ever notice unless it's a fashion show or special occasion, he truly dresses like a the American cowboy. He's not phony in a world of total fakes.

I have always loved and respected Ralph Lauren not only for his vision as a designer of elegant, iconic fashion, but because of his sensibility and heart as a man and human being. Long may he live.

The first time I ever spoke about my love of Ralph Lauren's clothing, was a long time patron and friend of our family restaurant O'mei, which was right around the corner from The Washington Post. I remember meeting Nina Hyde in the 80s, I had never heard her name or what she did. I was just in awe of her energy, care for the interns she would bring to O'Mei. I all the years she always asked how our family were doing, regardless if she asked my mom or myself. One thing I remember is when it was her birthday she would gift others with gifts, which I so admired and respected. I recall Nina gifting my mom with a Hermes scarf, having no idea what Hermes meant in the fashion world, nor did it matter. Nina never spoke about the personal health struggles she was battling...never! I remember sharing some thing very personal with Nina at least a couple of times and as she grasped my hand she said, the most important thing is to just be yourself. Her care and love for us made me start to think...I think she knows who I am. I didn't give a second thought. She was always supportive and such a ray of sunshine and positive uplifting words I'm so grateful for. I remember when Ralph Lauren called Nina and asked her what he should wear to a White House dinner. Should he wear jeans with everything above being black tie. Nina shared with me can you imagine . She brushed it off but did say Ralph.... I'm sure whatever you decide with be just fine. Nina has always been the most incredible human being. You are one of the most amazing woman I can honestly call a dear dear friend.....I think you quite often and still love you you dear friend!

Ralph Lauren is my favourite fashion designer, because: 1: His products look amazing. 2: It's trademarked. To wear Ralph Lauren means something. 3: Ralph Lauren sponsors awesome things (i.e. US Open) 4: The man has wisdom, honour and respect!

It really says so much about RL's character that he is so passionate about an issue that affects primarily women. What a force he has been.
