"If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. People don't realize he was in the top seven [in NBA history] in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him." -Michael Jordan

Best center of all time. Size, skill, strength and speed. A complete two-way player. Scoring, blocking, rebounding and stealing. The full package.
  • Hakeem was 7’0 and could do everything Kobe could just with a tad more ease because of his size, that’s how good and skillful he was. A 2x DPOY center who could guard the perimeter and post Hakeem underrated not talked about enough.

Best big man. 7 footer with twinkle toes and a box of tricks. Loved Hakeem!!
  • The best center with finesse moves and counters like a guard 💯ungaurdable
  • Only player to win a ring with no HOFers or all-stars, only player to lead a team to a ring leading in the 5/5 traditional stats (apart from Bron), only player to win an mvp, dpoy and fmvp in one season, has been the closest to getting a quintuple double and has an argument for being the best defender ever. So underrated and def in my top 10

This is how brutal the defense back then. NO BLOOD, NO FOUL....

Complete dominance on both ends of the floor. The greatest center of all time.

Greatest defender in NBA history. Unlike other all-time great big men like Wilt and Kareem, you were not safe from Hakeem outside the paint either. He almost led the league in steals AND blocks. You were safe from Kareem and Wilt if you stayed away from the basket, Hakeem was too quick everywhere. All-time leader in blocks and still top 10 in steals, 20 years after he left the game. Top 7 in steals when he retired. I get that his claim as a shotblocker is debatable, as Wilt and Kareem's blocks were not recorded in their primes, but that doesn't explain the steals average. Let's not even address his scoring which is just gorgeous. If he's not in your top 10 you need to seriously reconsider. The guy had little help but he was GOAT material in every sense.

You'd be impressed if the backcourt combined for 38p/7stl/6ast, and the frontcourt got you 17reb/12blks. Hakeem did this by himself!!!

Any time you see a triple double with Blocks or Steals you know that was a special game.
  • Never watch this man play, but have seen 'em videos to know this man was a nightmare to the opponents, I mean he rock you with that defense and you had no answer for him on offense
  • Olajuwon's Dreamshake is definitely the strongest post move.
