Interesting how many haters are rating her on her looks. I thought we were here to hear the talk and learn from her authentic message and her gutsy endeavor, not compare her to a barbie doll.
  • She is the only presenter on TEDtalks who I've seen get a standing ovation. She is a huge inspiration to me.
  • @KarinaHaraburda
She said she would and she did! Congratulations! 👏🎉 Diana you are such a wonderful inspiration to us all. Thank you!
  • You can feel the power of her mind and body through this video. She's vibrating with energy. Can extenuating, challenging athletic pursuit give you that? Amazing.
  • @Wildevis
And she did what she said, she finished the swim on her 5th try. What an awesome woman!
  • @HBSanta
Wow... wow. She was stung twice by a box jelly and lived to tell the tale? Not only that, she is going to attempt the swim again?! She is courage incarnate. Unbelievable story.

I just relistened. She's really showing YOU can live your dream, do the work, that age doesnt have to get in the way. I love how she was ready to count in different languages like english, german, french to pass the time...very smart woman.

Diana you are a source of inspiration for me and im sure for a lot of folks like me who tend to quit when things get hard. Not because were not strong but rather because we are not aware of our strenght! So thank you for reminding me this fact! 💜💜💜

I love the comment about thinking on space and time after 50 hrs swimming. Fantastic. It is all about looking into that abyss and moving ever onward with ultra distance.
  • @KemaTheAtheist
This is one of the few non-technical speeches I've found worth my time to watch.

Exercise is the key to life. My fathers 62 and he looks better then most 40 year olds and he's as alert and alive as Diana. The key is to get that blood pumping till you break a sweat, 30 min every other day is all it takes. Oh yeah and eat your greens.
  • @CarlaVP
And she did it! Just saw the movie on Netflix.
  • @donnavaughn9409
