I put the word “War” in quotation marks because there is no “war” between Christianity and the Marine Kingdom. No one is hating on the church! Even they have been Mis-informed. The war is against propaganda, mis-information, and ignorance.

Also, all life started in the waters. Babies are nurtured and grown in the waters of the womb. And while that doesn't mean that "evil" can't be grown in the waters too, not everything that comes from the waters is nefarious. You're totally right about that.

being of yoruba descent adopted by black american christian parents, there were a lot of things that i learned about my culture that parents have demonized. i have a deep connection with yemoja and she has taught me a lot of things and has even given me a name. i was so excited to tell my parents about what i learned and they looked at me like i was crazy, saying that i’m messing with “dark” entities or something, but the lord has shown me that: i need to stop trying to seek validation from ignorant people. my path is for me and not for anyone else.

Finally someone has spoken up! I hate that religious people look down, judge, demonize literally everything. Everything in this world has “good & evil” not everything that is of light is good nd not everything that is dark is bad and once i grasped that. I stopped fearing the dark. I’ve always loved different beings, water, witches, etc ! Anything spiritual nd supernatural but cause i grew up in a Christian home. I was hushed outta fear of being “evil”. My intuition is so strong that I’ve known who to open up to about things so at 25 many still don’t know certain sides to me because i don’t care to hear the judgment.

My grandma actually told me a story on how she was a mermaid in her past life- she even has a tattoo on her leg of HER !

My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and all she wants my grandfather to do is take her to the ocean or some type of body of large water. Plus she’s extremely knocked kneed and when she stands she looks like she has a mermaid tail. Her and I are both Pisces ♓️ but I’m more on the cusp with Pisces Aries. My grandpa takes her to the water everyday that’s where she finds peace

You have COMPLETELY changed my life and opened my spiritual eyes. My family and I have struggled with this calling and the confusion brought on us by the church convincing us and trying to cast out the marine spirits. How about the witchdoctors who came out of the occult, and has now confessed that their communications with the marine spirits are evil? I mean reputable witch doctors who actually interacted with these spirits in the spiritual realm?

This is right on time. I didn't know there was hate against the Marine Spirit. I got into sailing over 15yrs ago. I have owned 2 boats. Five years ago I sailed from Annapolis to Panama on my 44' Gulfstar Ketch and yes, I am the Captain of my own ship. At that time, I owned 2 boats. I am still in Panama where I sailed right up to my farm. I prayed to The Goddesses for this. I was very specific in what I wanted in a farm and found it less than 3 months after arriving here. I really had a spiritual connection after the dolphins showed after we left Key West. The dark skies, the moon, and the millions of stars was all talking to me. I highly suggest getting a sailboat and going sailing. It saved my sanity. And yes, I am throughly connected to my Ancestors. That's why my family thinks I am crazy. But, they all in the church. My profile pic is from Puerto Lindo, Panama on a launch boat going out to my boat. On top of all that, OUR PEOPLE ARE DOWN HERE, YA'LL. I'm talking our skin, our hair, even the gold in their mouths. I love the ocean. When I was younger I had a deep connection to dolphins. My whole bathroom was covered with them. Since learning about African traditions I've become deeply connected to Yemaya.
