I am very happy with how this sword turned out, especially for the fact that your shatter and well skates are improved when compared to the older adaptive frames. Damage wise, as expected it's pretty mid so your focus when farming it shouldn't be on the damage but more on the movement and utility side, especially because it gets access to Cold Steel, allowing you to stun both Overload and Unstoppable Champions. Ironically, this sword is a great option for the same Grandmaster Nightfall it comes from, since The Corrupted features only Overload and Unstoppable Champions. Anyways, enjoy!

Good to mention, Enhanced Cold Steel increases ammo reserves, it's gonna be better when we gain access to enhance our Adepts in TFS release.

Slammer having BnS and still being a bad damage weapon really seems to be calling attention to how much help the frame needs on that front. When you're out here getting outDPSed by Vorpal Riiswalker something seems wrong. At the very least they really gotta pull in the ammo economy on that heavy attack and probably buff its damage too (light attack spam is almost twice as much total damage for barely any DPS loss LOL)

I've been playing with Chain reaction/demo on an Osmio Warlock with ice flair/bleakwatchers. With whisper of shards/chains/refraction, you gain enough damage resist and grenade/class ability energy to survive quite well in mid to high end content

I did one GM, which allowed me to focus it at Zavala and managed to snag cold steel + eager edge. No more corrupted farming for me

As a strongholds main in grandmasters, this thing opens up so many possibilities for my loadouts, as harassing champions while my fireteam kills them is already my job. Tack on the fact that I can cover 2 champs and heal myself on stun and this thing is ideal now.

I want to add that since it's a stasis sword, one of the advantages it has over its void/arc brothers is that stasis hunters can just run 3x harmonic reserves for even more ammo and run a stasis special to pair such as conditional finality, ager's scepter, new pacific epitath etc. and clear up the energy slot for very strong weapons this season such as sunshot or polaris lance :)

I’m still farming for my eager edge cold steel roll. Did get one with eager edge and demo and an eager edge bait n switch which will hang in my vault just in case vortex frames get meaningful buffs someday.

Got so many rolls but can't seem to get cold steel + eager 😴

Another good thing about cold steel is that heavy weapons deal bonus damage to frozen targets. It could be used as a support weapon.

On multiple occasions I have been able to freeze a target with a single heavy attack. While not entirely consistent, it is worth noting.

Chain reaction + cold steel do work nicely, it’s almost like an Ager Scepter’s at home. With that said, I would still want the eager edge + cold steel roll

My main champion one has relentless strikes and cold steel it’s great cause the 1 free ammo can finish off that last of a champs health

I’ve been using a chain reaction/cold steel roll in legend dares and it’s been super fun to use. Been running stasis hunter and everything gets frozen lol.
