My golden rule is: don't stress yourself too much and be patient; you can be wrong, you are not a native speaker. I repeat it to myself all the time. But sometimes I struggle to follow it because I have a tendency to give in to perfectionism.

  • Thank you Adam, teaching english myself I was relieved in fiding out thay I already apply some of this princilples in reassuring my students. As a non-native speaker I sometimes find myself still making some mistakes and not living up to my standars ('bit too high sometimes), but I'm relieved that no matter what i will keep learning and making mistakes, but also improve and get better.
