I've been seeing some comments lately that indicate the top speed of the DJI Avata 2 might be limited. The speculation is the top speed of the CE version of the drone is lower than the FCC version.

Nice first manual flight, I got out today as well for the first time in ages with my Avata 1 it was great fun.
  • Nice flying man! Bloody love this drone. Done a couple of videos myself. Had to get the RC3 straight away, couldn’t wait 😅

That dip out when dropping into your own propwash is called washout and can be tuned out via PID tuning, if possible on that unit :)
  • Im looking at buying one you explained about things i would have never known about cheers mate very good information 👍 👌

That was so cool! How it has a letter "H" as a overlay on the video showing the home location. It's small litle features like that that make certain brands a step above...

Wow I’m absolutely amazed by your great FPV flying ability in this video! Wow! I just bought the DJI FPV controller 3 which I’ll only start flying slowly with after developing proper skills by practicing a lot with flight simulators before hand! I purchased the Avata 2 fly combo which is arriving in a few days! ❤️❤️ I live north of Montreal Quebec Canada where we have FCC so i know in manual mode I’ll be able to fly it super fast! I have the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 for almost 2 years so I’m good in camera drone flying but I know that FPV flying skills is on a much more higher challenging level! I’ll do all the proper steps to help build up my FPV skills! This will be my first FPV flying so I’m aware of the risks and the proper educational process to be able to do it!

andy thank you for this wonderfully sublime video - really great flying. i'm wondering where that is in UK . . . the fields/scenery are outstanding. thx again for sharing your flying vid with us!

Hi, is there a acro mode height limit like the original dji fpv did? or can you go up to 120 m in acro? cheers
  • @juliansjames
Great info Andy - thank you! As others have said, a video on FCC unlock (which file you're using etc) and HAM licencing would be really helpful. I've started doing some research and it appears that I'd need a Full UK Amateur Radio License to legitimately use the FCC unlock file. Is that your understanding of the law?

I am finding when I give the drone full throttle it just rises up fast ? Do I need it in manual mode to be able to tilt the fpc direction up or down ?
  • @MarkBowenPiano
If you do update the drone using the ham file hack can you revert it back after or are you stuck with it now always being at the higher speed? Also are there any tutorials anywhere for how to do the hack? Thanks.

A review just the way I like it! How is the bitrate of the camera? Seems like it has some bad moments during flight
  • @ViewAboveBritain
Hi Andy. Great video! Can you tell me which level of ham radio licence is required to use FCC legally in the U.K. please ?

11:53 Nice flying, even nice music. Where can I listen to it other than this video?

i got the mini 2 se. i live in north east USA and i dont know any good large fields to play in, that would be like the farms. i would like to try one of these out. on the part 107 test it says on FPVs not allowed to go more than 100mph.

Great video and tune! 🎉 also insane Geoengineering of the UK continues.

I'm wondering if the speed restriction thing has to do with the U.S. version of the drone vs. the UK version...
