I got to say the sculpting of this trex is on the next level, but its play feature is its own downfall. Epic Roaring rex is by far the best example of how to make best trex toy, it just need tight leg joint. Hope mattel keep improving on making new trex toy. This is a pass to me.

The sculpt and colors are damn near perfection, but those teeth just kill it. I actually love the animatronic feature. I think the teeth are supposed to maybe mimic a motion blur, but it was just a bad decision.

If you pump the button it chomps longer and it makes different sounds
-
It has the most film accurate head of all the t. rexes! I hope they'll use this sculpt again
-
My personal favorite rex will always be the dino escape stomping one

Looking at the reference pictures, despite there being no facial scaring, she does have a slightly longer snout while Rexy has a more rounder face. Much like my 2022 Extreme Damage comparison to Doe, I’m convinced that this figure looks more like Little Eatie than Rexy.

I never knew T rex teeth could protrude like a shark? No wonder he still the king lol
-
This is Mattel’s best t.rex

I really like the sculpt on this Rex, except for the teeth, but the action feature feels way too mechanical. It's almost like the basic Epic Evolution gimmicks where the heads and jaws snap too quickly while this one moves way too slow. But the texture on this one begs for a repaint. I can see someone turning this into Big Eatie or something.

When you said it’s not the worst thing you’ve ever seen, that made me curious. What is the worst thing you’ve ever seen? Specifically the Mattel stuff, leaving Hasbro out of it for obvious reasons lol

Pros: -new sculpt -creative action feature w the animatronic-like neck movement and the never-seen-before “evolving” teeth Cons: -the neck only has one default downwards-facing pose and can’t be posed independently Idk whether to put this in “cons”: -it’s js another generic rexy figure(seriously, Mattel needs to give us another Rex frm the franchise that isn’t rexy) but since it’s for chaos theory where rexy does show up, it’s understandable

SHES BRITISH!!🇬🇧🇬🇧
-
How does mattel, go from making the beautiful Hammond collection rex, to this monstrosity?
-
Nice btw your using the action feature wrong you need to push the button 5 times quickly to activate some roars
-
Nice trex

7 Seconds ago is BIZARRRE Btw Hello!

i think we are complaining too much about children's toys, especially since we already have several movie accurate and poseable rexy figures. I just wish this one had a cool colorful paint scheme
-
My personal favorite Tyrannosaurus Rex is the Jurassic World Dominion Thrash and Devour T Rex
-
I misjudged this figure 😅 Awesome review Andy!!

This is exactly what I imagine when I try to consider an Imaginext toy Rex with a sculpt closer to an accurate direction rather than stylized.
