Tony is an honest to goodness hot rodder. No multi million dollar shop with all the latest and greatest tech. No massive sponsors making the whole videos look like one big commercial. having a stack through the hood reminds me of growing up with all the late 70's Vettes with either dual carbs or full on blowers coming through the hood. Killer flame jobs on top of it to bring it full circle. I learned a thing or two about them torque tubes. C5 still a bargain!

Man the fdf rack brace is a much easier brace to install. I am a big c5 guy so I love this build!

Tony, that rubber isolator on the driveshaft is called a Guibo joint. Also make sure you align the torque tube properly when reinstalling, if not when the engine is at high rpm it can actually pushed the crankshaft forward and destroy the thrust bearings and the engine.

For years now I have had a fantasy about taking a the running gear from a wrecked C5/C6/C7 and putting it under a Y-body '61-'63 Pontiac Tempest or LeMans. Rather than stretching the TQ tube, I figured the easiest way to match the wheelbase would be to move the front suspension/axle forward and putting a dog house under the dash to fit the wildly front mid engine layout. Then I could have all the modern goodness under a body that didn't require me to look older, fatter and balder than I really am. 😂❤
