"without a specific location"? Wow. So it is basically a blanket approval you get for some (long) period of time if you have one of the approved drones. Nice job FAA - thanks for listening.

I hope you’re going to do some reviews of ASTM parachute modules soon.

I'm so happy! This is awesome news.....and I'm finally taking my part 107 this week or next. My channel is not monetized but will be in the next month or so. Flying a drone is so freeing,I love it . Hope you're all having a great day.

Thanks to Pilot institutes waivers made easy, I’m now getting authorization for military class D airspace in a zero grid at night to fly over people. Thank you for all you do.

wow well I had fun with the drones I owned in the past. I currently do not own one but they were fun to have before the FAA got involved
  • @70epictetus
Super awesome news!!! Thank you Pilot Institute for staying on top of FAA related information! 🎉🎉🎉
  • @nirkitaro
Thank you for this update, love the channel 🎉💜

This is a great change. I'm a teacher and have been frustrated that I can't do a flyover of my students when we are outside learning about the world. This makes it easier to share what we do with parents and the community.
  • @TheAnmracing
This is fantastic news. Can't wait to get our waiver. Thanks for the update Greg.
  • Hi Greg! Thank you this update! In the waiver application, it requires a "proposed location, with the class of airspace we want to operate... How do we fill this? Unless for a planned specific project, we don't necessarily know what the airspace will be? (given it would be for all airpsaces that do not require a special waiver, outside the LAANC authorization). Thank you for the insight!
  • @IndiaDelgado
Thanks so much for the info! What’s the expected turnaround time for the waiver approvals?
  • @wilkstube
So a waiver to some regulation that is a bandaid for over-regulation - that also adds a little bit of extra regulation in the waiver? Nice. It would be interesting to see the approval rate and delay after a few months. Hope they will do better than rejecting %97 of what people want. Thanks for the video!
  • Would also appreciate another update on drone parachute technology. I saw your Manti 3 review and it is certainly something I will look into. Thanks for sharing.
  • This is just fantastic! Will you be making a video for the Part 107 course? I'm positive that your video on the airspace waive is why I got approved.
