Just one week away from The Open Championship, the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour go across the pond to Scotland this week for the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club. Nearing the end of the season, the TOUR has four co-sanctioned events with the DP World Tour over the coming weeks. The field is full of the very best with Jon Rahm being the only top-10 player in the world electing to sit out before the year’s final major. World No.1 Scottie Scheffler is among those top players in the field this week. He’ll feel confident in his chances after finishing in the top 5 in his last three starts and in the top 12 in his last 18 starts. Wins at the WM Phoenix Open and THE PLAYERS Championship, coupled with top-10 finishes in the first three majors of the year, will mean he’ll look to be in the running come Sunday. Defending champion Xander Schauffele returns this week. He’s gathered momentum recently with 10 straight top-25 finishes and the all-time lowest round at a major in last month’s U.S. Open. An in-form Rory McIlroy will also be teeing it up this week having claimed five top-10 finishes in a row, including his runner-up finish at the U.S. Open. Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Cantlay, Viktor Hovland and Rickie Fowler will also like their chances in Scotland.

What a finish ! - watching it live I didn’t think Rory could birdie one of hole 17 or 18… he went a birdied both. Heartbreaking for Bob the Scott in home turf. Great set up for the open next week.
  • @Rabsmyth91
Well deserved. Even though i'm Socttish and Bob would of been the first to win the Scottish open in 24 years. Congrats Rory :trophy-yellow-smiling:

Best marketing idea ever to hold the Scottish Open on a links course the week before The Open. What A Lineup!! And what a balls up not to have held it there the whole time. Looking at you Loch Lomond

This was the best back nine of any golf tournament this year. It was up for grabs right up until the last putt. Little bit unfortunate for Bobby Mac but I'm sure he will bounce back next week.

Great performance Bob but he was up against an absolutely stacked field. What a finish by McIlroy to squeeze out a victory

Poor Bobby Mac, thought he was going to get into a playoff but that 2 iron stinger Rory crushed on 18 was majestick, there was some serious torque on that swing and instead of hitting a hyflyer he just smashed his ironhead onto the fireball and cut a little ripper into the wind

Nice work, Rory! You’re ready for The Open 🏌🏻‍♂️
  • Who else but McIlroy. That was the most clutch finish I’ve seen in a while. The fans there that day are super lucky to witness that final few holes.

One of the most insane final rounds I have ever seen.

Rory came roaring back like a true lion, always good to take out a bunch of vets.

unreal! magnificent round. That low cut on 18 from 202 out was super impressive.

I can't believe those lads can play golf shots like that!!! Just astonishing

When this kid is on, he's tough to beat.
