They were delayed in getting this done. First by their Atlantic City performances with Chicago, and then by the birth of Eli’s son Asher. And then they couldn’t get a cameraman. So Tony (former VP baritone and Layne’s partner at Pattycake) directed and filmed the video on iPhone. He also taught them the dance moves. Layne and Tony were very careful to follow the movie as close as possible. The ‘audience’ was the guys and their wives (Layne’s wife Cindi was the ‘mom’ with a camera) Adriana’s mom and sister, Layne’s mother and Voiceplay’s new production assistant. But the real star was Eli’s son Asher, who was a week old when this was filmed. .

Layne was determined to make a frame by frame recreation & I think they pulled it off big time. Geoff has just released a brilliant version of Blue Christmas which I highly recommend. Wishing you & your family a happy & healthy 2024

This is so much fun. Cesar hams it up like no one else! I love him all dressed up like Buddy the Elf! Funny that he's the only one in the audience wearing a Xmas sweater! And seeing Eli's baby Asher made me tear up a little, he's so beautiful!

After I saw this on Patreon, I had to find the Mean Girls version. They did such a good job keeping to the original. I don't know if Layne will ever get Geoff in that costume again. Thanx for jumping on this so quickly!

Tony filmed this with his phone, directed and choreographed this. The baby is Eli's son Asher. Only 2 weeks old was held by his wife Ashley. Asher means "Blessed" in Hebrew. The camera lady is Layne's wife Cyndi. Left to right... Cesar, Layne, Kathy, Geoff. ????, Cyndi, Ariana's sister, Ariana. Eli, Ashley & Asher, one of Layne's daughters, Ariana's mom. Geoff did Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley with a twist and Cameo by Kathy.
