The Maxes immediately breaking the audio recording upon being removed from their case is fucking GOLD
  • no fkin way, not a single time have i see the freakish ears on a stand theme song continue i thought it was canonically just composed with two 4 bar loops to compare some headphones
  • The fact that Walk Through the Park continued was honestly so jarring my brain registered it as a quick cut to a completely different song
  • Having to delete the AirPods Max from your account entirely merely as a workaround for a basic feature (turning them off) is the most Apple thing ever

The rage against battery-powered, Bluetooth-connected, streaming-only devices is something I've felt in my bones for 10 years now.
  • The problem with saying "See those monitors there?" and showing a picture of a computer desk is that, as a computer person and not so much an audio person, I of course immediately looked at the computer monitor and not the audio monitor.

at this point i'm convinced his constant usage of "smell" in lieu of other senses is just synesthesia

3:31 I hate that. Anything with customizable lights needs to have some in-built controls. I don't care if they're clunky or don't have as many options, just let me turn the stupid lights off without an app

Wires for life. Bury me in USB and 3.5mm.

I completely felt the tech purge comments, and I'm doing the same, mate. I run iPods, I buy CDs, I use cabled headphones; the modern tech wasteland sucks

2:30 It feels like forever since I've heard Dankpods say "Oh my PKcell"
  • Hilariously, at the beginning of your video when the audio cut out it LEGITIMATELY thought it was my own bluetooth headphones failing on me - which have been getting increasingly frustrating and inconsistent as of late - only to find out the reason was your headphones hijacking the bluetooth audio on your end. I love the freedom of movement bluetooth headphones give me, but damn this video is extremely relatable ...

The airpods connecting to your iPad and ruining everything is the exact reason why I hate bluetooth headphones. They randomly connect to devices when you don’t want them to, it’s hard to switch between devices unlike corded where you can just unplug them and plug them into another device, you have to remember to charge them, they have terrible microphones, and the only advantage they have over corded headphones is that you don’t have to deal with a cable which I feel like isn’t even really that big of a problem.
  • The microphone tests are genuinely funnier and more creative than most standup comedy routines.
