If you are a Dubai influencer, then you are a sellout.
  • Princess Latifah has been trying to reach the world with her story and that of her sister, who is missing with whereabouts unknown! All that glitters is not gold, and prison bars made of gold is not the bling anybody wants! May God hear her prayers!

It's sick. I just can't understand how a human can put their wealth above the freedom and wellbeing of other people

Dubai is over hyped. The number of abandoned vehicles is a sign of the mirage. That place is unbearable hot, I often wander how people manage to chill on the beach

I never believe and rely on influencers alone without doing my own research.

Just remember the 'missing' Princess Latifa of Dubai story
  • Being a dubai resident for past 20 years from a middle class family I agree and disagree equally with this video. Yess dubai shows itself as very pompous country and you can't criticize the govt. But honestly people here don't criticize them. Cause the safety, security and lifestyle dubai offers without paying taxes are really great

"Influencers" more like publicly accepted indotrinator's
  • It’s not like the influencers who go to Dubai have any values, class, or norms to adhere to. They want to show off, make money and buy a lambo. That’s how shallow their goals and ambitions are, waste of space on Earth sad to say.

Govermernts should ban/regulate advertisements on social media, similar to how Australia banned advertisments on Facebook ... *it's kind of becoming a scam, and it's defiantly not healthy.

Why follow someone who invariably has achieved nothing?

It's really great to show this. Appreciate DW. Just wondering how you find this news

Let's think about what influencer means for a moment. They get paid money because a lot of people will follow what they say and take on their opinions. So we need to ask ourselves as a society, do we want people who are willing to sellout human rights for a bit of quick cash as the people that influence others, particularly our youth. That isn't just the UAE, there's lots of situations where influencers are putting ethics aside for quick cash. If we want to allow those people to influence and teach our children how to be in the world, we shouldn't be surprised when the world is a mess in a generation.
