Bryan and I faced off to see who would be better at Asphalt 9. Someone who played for 10 hours straight, or someone who's only played like an hour to be able to get clubs

5:15 Been playing Asphalt 9 for a bit so I can answer this doubt. You CAN hit players in the normal multiplayer as well, but I believe they cycle through different modes every week or so. There's regular multiplayer where you can take other players out, the Ghost modes where cars cannot be hit to keep things fair, and Slipstream modes where opponents leave a trail you drive behind to recharge your boost super fast, making it the most fun mode when it does come around! Shame the game is so grindy and microtransaction filled, it's a genuinenly good arcade racer if we take out all the mobile game baloney. EDIT: Feel like it's worth a mention for anyone who feels like learning a knowledge, but there's 4 Boost types in this game! While I'm not gonna go indepth on what kind is best where, I noticed Ben would mostly use Perfect boost in both vids. And while it's one of the better kinds, Boost has a greater benefit in the air, so always boost after a jump, even if you have none, just keep boosting! It not only allows you to go way past a car's top speed in Asphalt 9 (hence why San Francisco's huge drops are the first track introduced to you, big hint), but by doing tricks you're able to fill it up & keep using it once you land!

Alright, continuing on DiegoGTRatty's comment: there are four types of Nitro in this game (long comment alert) -Yellow Nitro (single tap nitro/boost) -Orange Nitro (Double tap nitro/boost) -Perfect (blue) Nitro -Shockwave (Pink?) Nitro Yellow nitro are usually used only to knockdown AIs at the beginning of the race (may not work) the other use of it is to maintain the top speed of a car during a straight area or a slight turn in a track. Orange nitro, just like Yellow, can be used to knockdown AIs at the beginning of a race. (works far better than yellow nos) But this nitro is VERY crucial for when one goes airborne, whether on ramps or just jumping to a lower area of a track, because it has the 2nd best acceleration in terms of nitro type. (behind shockwave) That is by far the biggest mistake new players made when they play the game. (Not using Orange/Shockwave Nos in the air) Perfect (blue) nitro, just like Orange, can also be use to "murder" (knockdown) AIs at the beginning of a race too. (but people mainly use Orange nos as it makes the car accelerate faster) It's only other usage is to tackle rough terrain while losing minimal speed (4:12 till 4:25 is a great example of one) Also to note: One shouldn't use perfect nitro when going on ramps or airborne in general. (it takes longer to accelerate than orange) Finally: there is Shockwave (SW) nitro: This is by far the most powerful nitro out of all kinds of nitro. It cannot be used at the beginning of the race as it can only be trigger when you have a full nitro bar and you double tap it. However, just like you said in another video, they can be very useful for giving huge burst of speed. This kind of nitro is very useful too when you go on a ramp assuming that you have the nitro bar filled up. Orange works fine thiugh if you don't have enough for shockwave. To summarize (with extra info) Duration: SW < Orange < Blue < Yellow Acceleration: Yellow < Blue < Orange < SW Turning Capacity: SW < Blue < Orange < Yellow Turning Speed: Yellow < Orange < Blue < SW For more information: I highly Suggest you watching a Video called "How to GO FAST in Asphalt 9" by feuerrmFilms. He may be able to explain this clearer than me along with some info such as Ramps and how to take turns.

  • @evanrobert175
You can double tap the drift button to do a 360, which kills other drivers. You can also boost into them to kill them as well. (also purple boost is good if you go off a corkscrew jump, as it'll last until you land, otherwise blue boost is usually the best )

A speedrunner going fast? Interesting concept.
