Did this tonight- no trip to stylist and so cute! My hair looks so much bouncier and healthy!! Thank you

Lip gloss was a bold choice when cutting your hair at home 😂😂

Its interesting watching other professionals do the shag cut - they spend so long sectioning, measuring, carefully explaining each step but here she just casually grabs sections of hair and it still looks great!

I’m really anxious about going to the hairdressers, I feel like every time I go I come out and I hate the way my hair looks (last time I went I asked for layers and came out with half of my hair chopped off and 0 layers. That was the first time I went in 10 years) so this is super helpful to give me direction to cut it myself. Normally I just chop an inch or two off the ends but this helped me add some layers and life to my hair ♥️

I am 51 and still have a bunch of super thick, wavyhair. I don't have the patience or minutes left in my life to section off half-inch pieces and gingerly cut into them for an hour just to see them curl up. I just used this video to do a quick touch-up and really like the results. I think if your hair is thick and wavy, it doesn't need to be sectioned off perfectly. Thank you for this no-nonsense tutorial!

A true shag from way back in the day had sloppy layers over the whole head. Loved it!

Finally a tutorial I could follow

she favors busy phillips a lot! can't wait to try this myself.

Totally adorable! I’ve had this cut several times over the years and it never gets old... it’s always popular just different variations.

I LOVE how you go straight to the point

You remind me of Carly Simon. She was a very famous singer when I was a teenager back in the days of rock and roll. Her most iconic haircut is a long shag. You can see her by searching for the video "That's the Way I've Always Heard it Should Be - 1971" to see her shag haircut and her singing. George Harrison of the Beatles was on guitar in that performance.

This is probably the easiest tutorial to follow for this cut. Thank you!

From a guys stand point, the hairstyle looks amazing on you and you did a great job explaining how to perform the cut. Thanks!

Thank you for this! I have been at war with my hair most of my life - and FINALLY! Thanks to YOU I am loving my hair! 😭❤️💋

Omg I just love you! I just did pretty much the same thing a few weeks ago, and was thinking “who do I think I am?” I didn’t precisely section off, I didn’t necessarily grab the same amount of hair, I tried, but certain I didn’t succeed, then gave up on trying to “point cut” and like you, just cut straight across. I just wanted a more choppy look to my bob. I do have thinning shears, but didn’t know how to use them, and wasn’t sure if I should because I have fine thin hair. I just happened to come across your video, and your down to earth, just go for it approach was so refreshing. Thank you.

First off… This is the first time I’ve come across your videos, and girl you are so gorgeous omg. I’ve been doing my own hair for awhile and it’s been falling flat, this was so helpful!!

Omg this saved my hair!! I was a stylist back in the day and I forgot you can cut hair this way!

thank you for getting straight to the point‼️‼️❤️

This was an excellent tutorial! My stylist cut my layers longer than a shag and I was able to give my hair a quick fix with this video.

Thanks so much! I cut my hair myself last night and it was looking weird, and these tips made it 100% better
