Quality Management should have the authority to override Production Management.

Attention American government: We will have more confidence in Boeing and flying when you take Boeing's crimes more seriously and hold managment and CEO's accountable for human lives being lost and put in danger. You are also responsible for this situation.

Engineers are very rational. Managers are not. There is nothing more miserable than being rational in an irrational environment. I once wrote a memo to upper management concerning the probability of a catastrophic failure of a product we were building. The memo went up the food chain to the top boss. I never heard back, but a friend of mine was able to get my memo out of the manager's desk. I was shocked to see at the top of the memo the manager wrote and initialed "I agree with the engineer, but don't tell him."

Privatization of safety regulation, reduction of regulatory agencies and allowing corporations to self regulate will eventually kill someone. Stop gutting the agencies with the specialists who study and train to keep us safe.

As an American citizen I want to thank all involved for demonstrating bipartisan respect and integrity in dealing with an important problem. In recent times I have cringed at some of the irresponsible actions we witnessed on both the far right and far left. It’s great to see an example of our elected representatives getting on with the job.

I was on a plane with a cracked window. They stopped us from taking off to have it looked at and determined we could fly to Costa Rica and back and we'd be safe still. It was alarming.
  • It's About Time. Fact based and Science Based. "Safety " Always comes first.

The people who run Boeing should be glad Mr. Boeing can't raise up out of his grave.
  • Gargantuan financial interests at stake here. Time to unveil the names of all who get the brown envelope from Boeing.

Make one of these whistlebloxers the next incoming CEO and COO. They'll know who needs to go and who can stay. And how about some serious consequences and jail time for these criminals.
