We had a lot of fun rescuing this ole mustang from under this house! She’s surprisingly sharp after being covered and tucked away since 2001! In today’s video we pull it out and attempt to get it going. I hope you all enjoy! Thank you all as always for the continued Love and Support!

I want to throw a comment in here and clear a few things up. With this being my passion and loving the job I have, my reputation means everything to me. I’m as open and honest as I possibly can be with everyone. I relay what I’m told, just as I’m told. The car originally had many blankets, the present cover and then a large painters mat wrapped around it. Before filming the PO threw out the covers, cleaned out around the car and appears to have wiped it down. You’ll notice how nasty the car is under the bumpers and on the front valence. If you look closely you can also see wipe marks on the windows and body panels. It can be deceiving for sure, even for me. Until we pull the car out on its 30+ year old tires and not a single wheel rolls free. In fact pulling it on the trailer, they were so locked down that it bogged out my 9500 winch and ripped the treads clean off some of the tires. Not to mention the fact the engine bay looks like heck and the engine was stuck. This one looks a bit too good to be true but there’s a specific reason/reasons. We’ve rescued hundreds of cars. As I lay under the little mustang cleaning up crusty parts, I feel confident with the timeline I was told. I hope this comment helps some to understand where I’m coming from. Thank you for those that have tagged along and enjoy what we have to share. I hope you all are having a great week.

Keep it stock, like the original hub cups and engine. Well done
  • @simoneuler7073
Yeah! This car is awesome! So original even with all the documents! Please restore it fully and make it look and drive like brand new! It would sell incredibly good and give so much to the classic car community.

I'd love to own a Mustang Coupe like this. Inline 6 with a manual sounds like a fun cruiser
  • @JoE_Songs
Awesome. these survivors are so much more appealing, than fully restored cars. yes mechanical rebuild. But leave it as original as you can. loved it.

Great job on getting this gem running. Grandpa had a 65 that was his "work truck" for selling/delivering eggs. I used to ride with him on his delivery route. He was in and out of the trunk so much that he left the trunk key in the lock. Wore the chrome and all the raised mustang emblems off the key. When the family parted with the car, no one could remove the trunk key. My dad currently has a 66 convertible w/289, blue w/white top.
  • Hi there all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 Your videos reminds me of the best times I had working on car with my late dad Please keep them coming, you guys do great work in saving these lost and forgotten "treasures "

😱Got dang, its my Mustang! I had that same color 66 with the same 6 banger under the hood with a 3 speed hurst standard stickshift without the console (didn't have 2 tone seats) when I was 16 years old, wow!!!! You found my car, I swear you did except for the few differences. Thanx!

It kills me how original owners can just let these classics rot away in barns...i`d give my left nut to own one of these beauties. Nice too see you guys got this classic back up and running. I envy the new owner i`d Love to be driving around in Toronto Canada in one of these babies. great job boys.
  • @MotorScotti
Fantastic find! It's a beautiful little Mustang. I used to only like the V8s but this V6 is such a cool car.
  • @edwardott7239
Outstanding! Love that you're doing this to save these forgotten vehicles from going to the crusher (or worse!) and the way you're resurrecting them is pure fun. :)
  • I know this is an old video, but I love this channel, I love the way in the earlier videos your Dad is on the camera less, but now is just as enthusiastic as you are, your channel has inspired me to maintain and keep my 25 year old Mercedes running. I'll be going through as many of your videos as I can.
  • Those ford 6. Cylinders are almost indestructible. Enjoyed this start. Sitting so long the pressure plate might be rusted. No a big problem. Might as well do a new clutch and throw out bearing. Redo brakes you got a running driving car. Thank you for sharing!

i have the seam ford Mustang but a V8 ( 302 manual ) .i likit! can't wait to see the finish product. wish you luck !
  • @67Stang
I had a 66 that was that same color both internal and body back in the 80s and 90s but it had a 289. Wish I still had that car. Thanks for bringing back some memories. Good to hear this old girl run. It is so hard to kill those inline 6s.
  • @Brock_Landers
This is my absolute FAVORITE body style of Mustang...first gen...and I've always wanted to own one with a hi-po 289 and a 4 speed in red.
  • @robertspear9134
You got me with the "lets spray some ether and see if it starts". Love that color. Great content.
  • @neil7692
Love your videos! I've got to be one of those people and comment. After messing with all kinds of cars (a lot of Fords) for 50+ years, I have NEVER had one of the Ford style starter relays bad. It seems every utube (not just yours) I watch they all are bad (also never I've never had a bad ignition coil unless damaged, leaking or crushed). Cleaning out my Dad's old shop I have found 5 or 10 of these relays taken off scraped cars and none of them have tested bad. They all will pull 200 + amps. Keep the videos coming.
