Repowering My Pro-line 240 Walkaround with a Yamaha 250

Published 2022-11-17
In this video I go through the process of installing a used outboard motor to replace the blown motor that the boat came with. I also install vertical lift brackets to compensate for the extended shaft length of the new (used) motor.
Now that we have a working motor I will focus on cleaning up the cluttered wiring, reinstalling the kicker, removing the unnecessary 2 stroke components, and many more projects to come!

This is the exact boat I want with same motor set up!

Getting the new engine elevated on the new brackets is a clever trick. Any technique you can do to prevent getting salt water spray/splash on the engine will inhibit corrosion.

Good job! How was your bracket holding up

Why would you install those ugly brackets instead of just taking a 5-inch spacer out and getting a 25-in shaft and 25-in shift shaft
