The sunglasses obviously allow her to use stronger, brighter fireworks without hurting her eyes.

You’re killing it with these Deep Dives. They are absolutely amazing. You didn’t mention it, but I also like the Sidekick/Voltron strategy for her on Leadership. It’s nit exactly what her kit is trying to do, but that Wolverine Ally is absolutely a killer. Care to give your opinion?

I was pretty underwhelmed at first but you and Nelson have sold me. I like your Iron Man comparison as well. She may lose early but once built up with the coat, sunglasses and X-Gene/X-Jet, she could be a powerhouse. And if I’m gonna lose, I’d rather do it at the beginning of the game! 😆

Amazing review…. These deep dives and your rating system is the best MC content out there in my opinion. No one does puns better 😉 and presentation is beautifully done. My first reactions to her cards were underwhelming. Looking at here 15 (14 that we actually know of) hero cards I thought, “side scheme, 3 resource cards, 2 events taking up 6 spaces and a few fashion items…”. It was looking pretty dull with little variety. Then you realise how many cards outside of her hero kit that she will actually interact with. That’s where her variety is at. I’m actually looking forward to giving her a go (provided it’s not a stalwart villain). People have mentioned the card art. I’ve not noticed anything I have much of an issue with, will have to take a closer look, but I liked what I saw. Last thought is those dealing with villains that have nasty attachments…. She could be the best at removing these (sunfire excluded) having wild and variety resource cards lends so well to paying the cost to remove those nasty attachments, which could be so important for her.

Nice work! I think a lot of people are being drawn to readying cards like side by side and and what doesn't kill me, but I think this is a red herring. There aren't any effects that scale up the power of hero ability, so it's always going to be only one resource, and all those effects cost at least one effective resource. There are better ways to heal characters and ready allies and these don't syngerize with the rest of her kit. I think it'll be best to focus on cards that benefit from using her wild resource as requirements or bonus effects, cards that can benefit off of her statuses, and cards that combo with her jacket and glasses. Great video as usual. Keep it up.

I just started playing and your videos help a lot. I really appreciate you!
  • She looks really interesting to me. Like a mix between 2 of my favorite characters, Rogue and Psylocke. Her and Bishop are definitely the 2 I'm most excited for

Great video! I like her a lot. This is the first product of the wave i definitely want to buy. I hope she gets a additional way to heal or to prevent damage because she already exhausts a lot for other effects.

Love the deep dives and all your videos, keep up the great work! Just a brief addition, for Blinding flash and the new Justice events, there are enemies and obligations that increase the cost of cards - meaning you could potentially pay for events with all 4 different resource types (without overpaying) - hitting 4 targets with Blinding Flash, dealing 4 dmg or removing 4 thwart with her upgrades, etc., but that would be an edge case, of course! I don't think it'd be a great plan, but could be a fun challenge :D.

I feel like a lot of people are pretty underwhelmed by her (and I can get why), but I'm very excited for her. I usually enjoy event-based heroes and she seems very strong! I really don't get why her sunglasses and coat have the effects that they do but those effects are incredibly fun. I think the puzzle of figuring out which resources to spend where is going to be a lot more fun than people think. As for the aspects, aggression looks incredibly fun for her. I didn't even think of Honed Technique (in my defense, I've been brainstorming Protection builds and haven't thought about Aggression). Leadership also seems incredibly fun, especially with Beast. Also love Utopia and trying to ready her a lot - her hero ability is very... boring but the fact it's not limited to once per phase is very nice. I 100% agree with you that Justice is going to be far and away her best aspect. I'm not the biggest Stealth Strike fan (it's good, it just never makes it into my decks) but it looks so good with her. I'm expecting her to be stronger and more fun than how people are seeing her right now, and I'm very excited - even moreso now with your great ideas. Hopefully it won't be too long until we get the next hero reveal!
  • @metascrub285
I'm honestly pretty keen to play her. She looks fun
  • @Nazzers
I'm a little surprised at how same-y the cards feel here. I was expecting fireworks powers to be a bit wild and explosive. Shopping Spree is the one big flavor win. Maybe she plays more interesting than she looks but I kinda feel like I already own this character.
  • @shadowjeric
Overall she seems fun. I agree on the variety for sure cause it seems like you're going to be mostly in Justice since her precon is coming with a Justice card that wants to have multiple resource types spent on it. I am curious to see if they'll be a kind of support build where you keep getting everyone items out there decks.
  • @Bumbum_Inspector
It looks like for her sunglasses and coat based on the wording "to that enemy" and "from that scheme" that they have to target the same enemy and scheme that the event targets.
  • @DeannaGilbert616
Jubilee Leadership with Sidekick buffing Wolverine will be pretty nice. Also, instead of sticking Clarity of Purpose onto Jubilee, put it onto Wolverine.
  • @Geallach83
The reason I'm not excited for her has nothing to do with MC. Even if she was a powerhouse, I just don't like Jubilee as a character. She was particularly insufferable in the 90s GenX comics. I'm still going to buy her, but I doubt I'd be using her a lot. Like Ironheart, who actually is a strong hero, never gets played in my table because I don't like Riri.
  • @tromdial7719
I love the Sunglasses artwork, just the attitude she gives oozes character. I am not a Jubilee fan, but that was an excellent art choice. I read the article to check and see how wilds work, and it is strange it says wilds can shape into any icon she needs, but weird when wild itself is an icon on the cards like Blinding Flash and Three Steps Ahead. My question is, why include the wild itself if the resource cost is 3, not 4? Will we be seeing a 4-cost card like this? I also didn't realize her Player Side Scheme has no victory points until now, so that's why it hits discard. Nice! Lots of justice potential with the side-scheme attachments and defeats. After watching this video and reading her more closely, I am liking her a lot more than when I first saw her yesterday.
  • @davidduran2320
What do you think about eventually incorporating into the rating system a metric of how much you're incentivized to just play a hero's? So, probably a 5 on that scale for Iron heart (hero centric) vs Ms marvel or Parker Spiderman on the low end.
  • What about "what doesn't kill me" in protection? I'm not seeing much for her in green.
  • @QuiveringEye
I love your videos. However, this hero's mechanics fall very flat for me. It feels a lot like a worse Miles. I also really dislike how limited the item pool is outside hero cards.
