  • There’s a few things I’m surprised you didn’t mention. Like when all the restaurants shut down for a whole day following the outbreaks to do some major cleaning. The marketing campaign owned up to the mistake and apologized. They laid out what changes they were making. So many companies sweep things under a rug and fail miserably. Chipotle took their licks and I respect them for that. Which is why I remain a customer.

    As an employee this makes me understand why my managers are so strict with us when it comes to things like food temperature and if we’re feeling even slightly sick 😭

  • There is a Chipotle near my old gym. I’d go there almost everyday after a workout. Delicious food but definitely an expensive habit.

    It's sorta ironic, that viruses and bacteria nearly killed the company, and now a virus is the biggest driver of their sales.

    I used to work there in 2019 and the health standards were the best of the fast food places I worked

    Having worked at Chipotle I will give them credit for one thing; they absolutely learned from their mistakes and don't mess around at all when it comes to food safety. They might overwork the hell out of employees and enforce an unsustainable workload with the digital line, but they keep that food clean and keep everything in check. That's better than most fast food places can say.

    I barely started to work at chipotle like a few days ago and even on my first day, I saw how anal everyone is about food safety, its honestly incredible

    One thing you failed to mention was the time they stopped serving pork at a bunch of their locations because they couldn't find a supplier who met their quality standards. I think this helped them overcome the health scares. Those of us who had been eating there for years kinda just saw the health scares as something they just needed to sort out, not an indication of poor overall quality.
  • I was still eating at Chipotle even during the outbreak and I never had a problem. I love Chipotle and will continue to go there whenever I am craving them

    As an employee who started just before covid hit and worked with them through the entire pandemic, I deserve the title of essential worker. I lost a part of my soul during this time. We were the only food chain in town open. While everyone was stuck at home, I was stuck at Chipotle lmao.
