Whilst herobrine may be minecrafts most known legend, there exist a few other legends who have also achieved significant popularity. One is Entity 303, and the mystery behinds its story, is one which has still yet to be solved to this day.

One thing for sure, Herobrine, Null, and Error 303 do be a gold mine for 3am videos. Same goes to like John Doe on Roblox.

When I was a kid this was terrifying like I watched the shining at that time and it was less scary than 303

Reminds me of a time of when I pranked my friend by setting up an armor stand with iron armor and then screenshotting it from far away to scare him lol

Another thing worth noting is that back then, people were starting to view Herobrine as a good guy, believing that he'd been griefing us as a warning of Entity 303's arrival. It was a crazy ride.

the worst part of this creepypasta is the "plugging in an anonymous cable and reading the source codes" like that is NOT how source code works in any way shape or form, source code is compiled into your game, it cant just be "read" and xbox 360's have security that would prevent a simple cable from displaying any game information anyways, and the source code they show isnt even source code, its more like console prints/traces

Even when I was kid, I never took Entity 303 seriously as a kind of Minecraft urban legend. Seemed so lame in comparison to Herobrine.

This video rocks. If you ever want to do a story on Null; I'm the creator of the original Creepypasta, though not the character! Null was created around the same time as E303 and I'm pretty proud of how the story was succesful and could talk about it sometime.

Its so obvious how it was made by a kid, creepypastas like this always have good potential at the beginning but then it goes "But then it entered the real world and everyone started killing themselves" like they just have to pull out everything that is "scary" to them for the story and yet people still took it seriously

What I find most interesting about Entity 303 is that his existence sort of started a shift in opinion regarding Herobrine... A lot of people feared Herobrine, but once Entity 303 came around, Herobrine was the one to actively appose him, becoming more of a protector or guardian rather than an evil monster. Herobrine started becoming more of a protagonist in many Minecraft animations all because of Entity 303.
