From high school to adulthood, still a banger. 🤘
  • I’m convinced Rise Against is timeless. The more time goes by the more their musics messages become apparent

Some days, just the opening riff of this song reduces me to tears instantly. Idk if it's the childhood i lost, the youth this music saved me in, or the middle aged mess I've become. It always hits me right in the heart.

This is definitely one of the best songs ever written. 2024, we all know we’re still listening to this classic
  • Possibly one of the most eloquently written songs in Rock history. Each lyric is a brush stroke to a masterpiece

From floating in a filthy bathtub in a strangers motel room in Florida detoxing from heroin to now: a mom of five in a clean house in rural countryside clean since 2012… still love this song!
  • Having a Three Days Grace/Rise Against/Linkin Park/Evanescence/Foo Fighters/Breaking Benjamin/Offspring/Green Day /Nirvana/Shinedown/Sum 41/Blink-182/Coldplay/Finger 11 marathon.

Rise Against and The Offspring are timeless

From a child listening to this while playing MW2 to now an adult it brings back so many memories. Sitting here reflecting back and missing the good ol’ days when things seemed so much simpler. 😢
  • One of the most highly underrated bands of all time in my opinion, of course😊
  • "Okay guys, we need to make a music video. Do we have any ideas?" "How about we just have a bunch of furries moshing?" "HOLY SHIT THAT'S BRILLIANT, SOMEONE GIVE THIS GUY A RAISE!"

It kills me not to know this But I've all but just forgotten What the colour of her eyes were And her scars or how she got them As the telling signs of age rain down A single tear is dropping Through the valleys of an aging face That this world has forgotten There is no reconciliation That will put me in my place And there is no time like the present To drink these draining seconds But seldom do these words ring true When I'm constantly failing you Walls that we just can't break through Until we disappear So tell me now If this ain't love then how do we get out? 'Cause I don't know That's when she said "I don't hate you boy I just want to save you While there's still something left to save" That's when I told her, "I love you girl But I'm not the answer For the questions that you still have" And the day pressed on like crushing weights For no man does it ever wait Like memories of dying days That deafen us like hurricanes Bathed in flames we held the brand Uncurled the fingers in your hand Pressed into the flesh like sand Now do you understand? So tell me now If this ain't love then how do we get out? 'Cause I don't know That's when she said "I don't hate you boy I just want to save you While there's still something left to save" That's when I told her, "I love you girl But I'm not the answer For the questions that you still have" One thousand miles away There's nothing left to say But so much left that I don't know We never had a choice This world is too much noise It takes me under It takes me under once again I don't hate you I don't hate you, no So tell me now If this ain't love then how do we get out? 'Cause I don't know That's when she said "I don't hate you boy I just want to save you While there's still something left to save" That's when I told her, "I love you girl But I'm not the answer For the questions that you still have" I don't hate you I don't hate you I don't hate you I don't hate you, no

Was working a seasonal temp job and asked my co-worker do you know this band and song playing overhead in the store? She said Rise Against, Savior the song. I'm an over 50 Black woman, so I'm not the market for this music, lol. But damn, it's a head banger. Punk at its finest. Been in bands in the past. The guitar work and vocals are killin' me and the drumming is rediculously phenomenal. I see folks down in the comments saying their old. I say our appreciation of music is greater, we have a larger and longer repertoire to choose from. Believe it or not this song is soulful, the frontman is singing about loss and forgiveness with HEART and his WHOLE being. Musicians must give their ALL. Savior is greatness from start to finish and so terribly underrated. New music love for me. Rise Against.
