You likely dream about success and have a deep desire to earn more money, genuinely help people, and you probably struggle making it happen like many people do. Being low on resilience every time you come against an obstacle or challenge, dealing with high levels of anxiety, and never having enough energy to really execute the way you want to are holding you back.

Before your frustration takes you to the next level, let’s consider poor brain health may be the thing holding you back. You have to optimize your health to be successful, and your brain health is a must.

Dr. Daniel Amen, clinical psychiatrist of the Amen Clinic reveals 7 steps to boost your brain health so you can build a brain that lowers the risk of a poor quality of life, and increases your brain function so you can reach the levels of success and financial rewards you’re looking for.

One of the key takeaways is understanding that feeling down, depleted, moody, and over anxious are not just mental health issues, they are brain health concerns you can address and do something about, starting right now.

WARNING: I will never ask for your contact info in the comments section, that is someone impersonating me!
  • I made the choice to turn around my health and the next day I broke my ankle falling down the stairs. I am not mobile at all around the house because I am overweight and I can't pull myself up on my non dominant leg. I now see how a healthy weight and strong muscles will benefit you in case of an accident. So I now have the motivation and I know my WHY I want a healthy weight.

My problem with Dr. Amen and his clinic is that they won't see you unless you have lots of money. I had a TBI and was struggling. I had a hard time adjusting to my new "life.." They wouldn't see me. If these people love and are so passionate about their work they should be able to be charitable. I was a medical professional before my injury. I gave people away services about 10 per cent of my yearly income. It helped them and I felt like I was contributing to the marginalized community who are rarely seen, and that I'm now I'm a part of.
  • Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

When I was 17 I was pretty much a total mess, hyperactive, and probably ADHD. Which fed my overwhelming insecurity. Then I went to this Church is a warehouse called ,Jesus Unlimited. Never really thought about what I wanted until then. I never thought my life was about what I wanted. But I nailed it down that day. I wanted the Kingdom of God that is in my heart,to make my world the same. From that day on ,and I’m 65 now,I’ve found joy and happiness i the opening of my heart wherever I am. Every night before I go to sleep,I look back at what my open heart brought me ,peace and contentment, security I can trust in to close my eyes and dream of the could be’s to come. Mine is the kingdom within and nothing less.
  • What actually does: Rest,water,sunlight,hugs,kisses,movement,interaction,nature.

I retired at 55 . I'm busier now than I was when I was a chef. Fasting, no sugar good fat. I went from 165 which I felt heavy for me to 145. It's amazing when you cut out sugar and bread. My brain is so much clearer.
  • I found out that most shy people think they are rare, the only ones. I thought that until a professor asked the class of 40 how many considered themselves shy, and we were all shocked when about half the students raised their hands. I realized for the first time in my life that I was not weird for feeling shy, I had a lot of company. I realized the people around me needed support from me too. I felt much less shy from that moment on, it reset my perception.

Exercise, don't eat processed sugar and processed food, take a few supplements, sleep well and do intermittent fasting. Done
  • I’m so happy he mentioned testing for Lyme disease. I got sick in my late teens. They tested for MS, lupus, and other issues but found nothing. For 10 years I suffered with headaches, neurocognitive issues, muscle pain, heart problems etc. finally a doctor tested me for Lyme disease and I was positive. Unfortunately it did years of damage that have taken a lot to overcome. And I still live with some issues, but proper diet and exercise make a big difference.

Great video! But, i found Keto this year January 20th, 2023. I was allergic to vegetables. So, I went to the Carnivore Lifestyle. Totally changed my life! Have tons of energy now, lost 30 pounds so far, concentration is better, memory is better, no more brain fog etc. And, i was diagnosed with MS for about 16.5 years now. I used to have severe fatigue. Now living my life! Carnivore for Life!

This guy is great!! Thankyou Tom. As a naturopath/kinesiologist I treat anxiety, depression, panic attacks, early dementia, poor cognition with supplements and sometimes kinesiology with great results. Many need to also address lifestyle issues, but it's hard to do that if one is suffering anxiety for eg. Bringing a person back to homeostasis gives them a window to address their underlying issues. Dealing with food intolerances, heavy metal load, poor nutrition also essential. It is remarkable what correct supplementation at the right dose can do.

For sports I do QiGong in fresh air and play BeatSaber in VR. That combined with breathing exercises and better nutrition, got me out of lifelong depression, panic attacks and distress. I also had to learn that when I sometimes have a bad day, that does not mean I'm relapsing. It's just a bad day. Everything changed when I understood that my mind is made by my brain and my gut.
  • My grandmother had Alzheimer's. My mother had Alzheimer's and I looked after her for 7 years. It severely altered my life and I suffered a prolonged depression afterwards. Anyone who has looked after someone with Alzheimer's WILL DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING not to get it. Or... one can live in denial!

Tom you do the BEST interviews! You are always prepared, you flow with the conversation but direct when needed, bring up some of your personal experiences without making it about you. I always learn a lot and it comes across that your guests really enjoy talking with you.
