Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have lived with CSF since I was a tiny baby. I was "NORMAL" until 2009 when I was in a crash. After that event I started to have symptoms that I couldn't understand what was happening to me. Now you have explained.

I was diagnosed last year with LOVA hydrocephalus. I had an ETV done in April which failed. I was in HDU after due to cerebral salt wasting. I then had a VP shunt in sept. So far so good.

Amazing that Toronto neurology would ignore such chiari hydrocephalus.. neck issues started at age 14 then seizures came at age 21. All called by Ontario Canada Idiopathic Epilepsy. It’s ruined my life. They helped misdiagnose. Ignored all my symptoms.
  • Thank you for explaining i was born with hydrocephalus as a new born n im 31 now and i still have it

I'm 67 years old and have over the last 5 years had really bad falls, which I ended up in hospital with broken ribs and arms. A few days ago I tripped and fell on the concrete tiles so hard that it broke. I had facial injuries and my neck and shoulder extremely painful. The doctor sent me for a brain scan with the result of swelling on the brain and referral to a neuro surgeon to operate and insert a drain. This is worrying for me and I'm concerned about the whole procedure.

  • Was diagnosed with no communicating hydrocephalus at ~age 15, and have had 11 brain surgeries since then, currently have 3 VP shunts. Benign tectal glioma caused it
  • I was born with hydrocephalus due to an arachnoid cyst and my mom was told that I likely wouldn’t be able to walk talk and that I would be mentally retarded and 17 years later I’m doing everything they said I wouldn’t be able to do and more #nomorebs
