  • The wonder of Scotland and a steam railways. Huge thanks to all those that built the railway and the photographers that spend their time in the bracken!

This truly is a piece of art. No background music, narration, or anything else to distract the viewer. Just stunning settings, and the sound of railroading 's past. I think my favorite segment starts at about 8:50. It is of a train pulling a grade over a long trestle and around a curve. Magnificent.

I have watched a lot of videos about steam trains, but this sets the bar at a new height. The clarity of the picture and sound is incredible. There were a couple sequences where I wasn't watching a video; I was right there standing in the field. Wow!

The Double Header clip reminded me of the trains we had being pulled over Shap on the way to our summer holidays in Scotland when I was a child. Great work and a wonderful way to see the trains in the fabulous landscape. Lots of happy memories too. Thank you.

I twice went on hiking vacations in the Highlands, Skye, Lewis & Harris.....took the train from Stirling to Ft. Williams, we had to have gone through some of this area.It was not on a steam train but the country was so beautiful. At one spot that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere the train stopped to let off a fisherman and I was told they would pick him up on the way back. These were the first train trips I ever took, what a great way to travel........thanks so much......

I think it is one of the best steam videos that I've watched. I love the spectacular and stunning views of the West Highland. It's so beautiful and natural that you can't find anywhere in the world. Thanks for sharing.
  • Magnificent! Great filming and amazing sound quality, even during the long telephoto sequences. One of the few videos that has really captured the feelings of remoteness and huge vistas of the wild Scottish landscapes. Loved the wheelslip on the double-header! Thanks a lot for sharing.

I've watched many steam videos but this has to rank with the best of them, if not the actual best. Truly splendid with some stunningly beautiful clips - not just the steam part, but the selection of viewing points and that spectacular scenery. Thank you.
  • @joshuapursey

This is far and away the best railway footage I have seen. Should have been on this beautiful railway in a week's time but the lockdown has put paid to that,at least I have risen it before. Please continue with videos of this quality.Stay safe.
