A shock…never trust billionaires. They are just testing the waters my pretties….they will develop, they have the money to to do it. Just wait and see. These guys won’t stop…

Can we just stop the theater that we live in some kind of democracy and that the people have any say in anything that happens?

They’ll be back. Got more people to buy off first.

Until they pay their share of taxes, I don't trust 'em.

My guess is they dont see free money coming in with their guy not being the president soon.

""Comes as a shock to the community*,"...<*what community?? you talked to one person not involved in making money from this project>..."as we know these plans have been in the works for many years now"...yeah...but...weren't they only made PUBLIC less than a year ago**?? <**Nov 29, 2023 - first public townhall> They just wanted to bypass any environmental impact issues - of which, there are many - but luckily there was enough pushback forcing the government to step in and halt this rush to make money. Do better with framing your stories. Also what's the point of saying 'the Acting Mayor said this, the billionaire developer said that' so there's discrepancies?? As a news organization, isn't your entire job to clarify who's 'details' are factual?? If not, you're nothing but a PR newswire. Do better. The public NEEDS you to do better.

I thought the state was against sprawl. where is the water rights for this new city?

You lie. The community knew nothing about this until Garamendi looked into it and the rich creeps had to come clean.

Why did they do this secretly in the beginning? Second, all of the other Bay area counties do not have open space so that is one reason they want to come here and build. But Solano county residents like this open space from reports that I am aware of and I know that I do as well. Also, traffic on Hwy 80 is a monster and it would add to that congestion and Hwy 12. Other places have tried to develop communities that are self sufficient with jobs and schools and they never completed the work they just build housing etc.

Great news! Loser plan. Thank you Stephanie Sierra for your great coverage and breaking this story last November. For bringing this secret project out of the darkness and into the light you deserve high recognition and a raise.
