Great job on the video and I hope you see Chip again very soon and no, I don’t think you caused the derailment. I think it’s borderline impossible that you did because I saw the crewmember looking over the switch and they would’ve definitely noticed if it was misaligned or anything like that.

My husband witnessed a train derailment north of Saskatoon 5 years. He was working delivering windows and he had to stop at a train crossing. It was a grain hopper train. He noticed something looked weird when it began to derail. It happened on a major road too so that was fun. He couldn't turn around easily because he was in a large truck. It took him like 20 minutes to get turned around.
