So jealous right now watching this video! I love FLL and it gives me goosies when I remember how excited I was every time I'd land there!
  • Yes, we had a lot of wind this day as well - pulled out of Toronto at the tail end of a major snow storm with high winds there (timing couldn't have better). Good to see we all landed safely. Having experience driving a larger boat and fighting winds, I have huge respect for those pilots.

  • Thanks. I got lucky with the early morning sun and some really nice looking clouds :-)
  • Sure are beautiful! Even more so, knowing we were just minutes from landing in Lauderdale ;-) Thanks for your comment - check my channel for more Florida videos!

Never leaving Florida, was born in the 305, raised in the 305, and will die in the 305, Florida the best state to live in the USA
  • Awesome! I'm sure you will love it. If you have some time, check out the beach front in Fort Lauderdale. A very nice spot - makes me feel like home every time we visit :-)

Flew this exact route with the same plane type (albeit with the now-defunct Skyservice Airlines) back in Mar. 2005. The approach was flanked by some turbulence and cloud layers extending from FL 300 to around 1000 ft.
  • I used an inexpensive (but great quality) compact Canon 320HS. Takes pretty good stills, as well.
