here are a couple different ways to look at the odds mentioned in the video: what happened in the video if we only care about winnipeg and seattle being chosen in that order: winnipeg getting chosen the first time: (1/26) winnipeg getting chosen the second time (1/26) seattle getting chosen the first time (1/25) seattle getting chosen the second time (1/25) multiplying them together yields 1/422 500 however, If you dont care about it being specifically winnipeg and seattle the odds of two different teams getting selected twice in a row using the results of the rolls that happened in the video for simplicity, the odds would be as follows: (1/1) 1st team (1/26) 1st team again (assuming no game from first selection) (24/25+25/25)/2 different team than first taking into account the result of the game, if you want the 1st team to always lose their game like in the video, just use 25/25. (1/25) second team chosen again(assuming no game after first selection) that multiplying those together using (24/25 + 25/25)/2 as the calc for the second team is: 49/32 500 or roughly 1/663 using (25/25) gives: 1/650 there are more things that can potentially be taken into consideration for both calculations (ie wether or not a game is played each round, but that just complicates the answer even further for not a whole lot of variation) TLDR: odds are 1/422 500 or 1/650
  • I love how he alternated between praising St. Louis for being an almighty team and saying how the heck did we win that game

This was a super fun idea. You should do this with either Alumni teams or National teams (would be fun but quick)
  • @wildbroom
British Columbia looking a bit.... different

You know there are words other than "pot" to describe scoring right LOL

This was fun, I've seen the imperialism videos for NBA and NFL and was waiting for someone to post an NHL one. Some suggestions for future imperialism videos: - Make it so all 32 teams play before there's a repeat team. It's really funny seeing the Wild or Flyers pick up a bunch of territory on an upset after doing nothing all video, but that's also how you get Arizona adding a million players. That was really funny too, but imagine if it happened to a good team like Tampa, just getting to play every other wheel-spin, the video probably wouldn't have been as exciting. - When there are only a few teams left and most of the map is covered, don't use free spaces. If the option is to either take a free space that ultimately does nothing, or to compete with the team slightly to the left of that free space, just have the teams compete. The free spaces are fun at the beginning because it allows for teams to "move" across the map to other opponents, but if 90% of the map is already taken, it adds zero entertainment value. That being said, I really liked that you only took players from teams current rosters when they were defeated, I think that helped make things more balanced. I also like that you chose players based on team needs (like McAvoy for the Rangers). I'm excited to see more of these!
  • Love this video style, could honestly keep simulating it every few months and see what crazy outcomes happen next time cause it's pretty entertaining watching ARI knock out so many teams
  • I love this imperialism. This was way smarter to put someone form the last team to the winners team since last time Carolina didn’t play a game until the end lol
