Gustaffson was such a beast man. Dude was a monster of his own rights. Would have loved to see more of him.
-
im not a fan of Reyes but its insane seeing how incredible he looked against Jones to where he is now its like he put everything he had into that fight and left a piece of himself in the octagon that night
-
When your title defenses highlights are a 25 minute long documentary......you're not too shabby.

The way Machida slumps to the ground while Jon walks away will always be iconic and symbolic of how dominant of a fighter he was. And it’s crazy how anytime he took someone down, whether it was a traditional wrestling single/double leg takedown or even just pulling guard, his opponent was going for a ride. Dude has freak strength.

I think what made Jones so great was how creative he was with both his striking and takedowns. Just a great fighter.

When he choked Machida out standing up, that's one of the most iconic victories I've ever seen. I've never seen it done like that and Jones did it to The Dragon. Being 3" taller helped a bit.

Jon Jones is probably the most creative fighter in the UFC, ever. Not just creative striking, but creative clinch work, transitions, everything. It will be a long time before another Jon Jones graces the sport.
-
The reason why Jones is the GOAT is because that era of Light Heavyweight was the most talented and competitive weight class in UFC history. Yet Jones just appeared out of nowhere and decimated everyone. He didn’t fight any cans, each of his fight was against a top level competitor.

These are the kinds of compilations i thought would never get made due to copyright, the UFC's tight control on their content stymies the sport's ability to showcase it's best moments.
-
It's astonishing how he defeats every opponent with a different strategy.
-
I'd say the best thing about Jones is that he never fell off. He's just so consistently good I don't think we'll see anything like him in a long time.
-
Nice Compilation 👍 Clean editing. Thanks for the upload.

There are so many people that don’t recognize what an insane run jones has had. I really hope he can continue hes greatness in the heavyweight division in march
-
When Jon kicked rampage in the knee with that instep kick he looked at the ref like "can he do that?"
-
When just your title defence highlight is longer than some of the most decorated UFC legends career highlights, you know Bones is a GOAT!
-
You did a great job totally awesome video!!
-
I miss Gustafsson. He was one of the best in my opinion.
-
I don’t think I ever seen a mma fighter use all 8 limbs as effective as Jon..super creative..
-
Uppercut at 1335! John waited for the opponent to readjust His mouthpiece. Quality sportsmanship!

Peak Jones was so complete, athletic, and cerebral. He has become an even more thoughtful fighter, but when he was at his athletic peak he appeared unbeatable. Silva, Fedor, Khabib, and Aldo had it as well, but none had the unbelievable athleticism; DJ might be the only guy to look as unbeatable as well as being so athletically gifted. Also that Gus fight was his greatest battle, Reyes was also really great, but got'damn that Gus fight was good.
