I don't know if that silver truck in the first clip intentionally pulled into the parking lot moments before the semi lost control, but that was some seriously good timing.
  • As a truck driver for 30 years, I'm appalled at the two incidents where the driver wasn't cited or charged. The first one being the truck draging the car up the pass. There is no way that driver didn't know he was dragging that car, the back corner of your trailer is one of the most visible areas in your flat mirror. The trucker that ran the ride share driver off the road and then rear ended him should have been, at a minimum, charged with reckless driving and had his CDL revoked.

6:28 - if you ever get stuck between two gates of train tracks and you can still move your car, just plow through the gates. they are made to break easily for situations like that.

What awareness that lead pickup truck had in that first accident. ✊🤩

Retired truck driver here. I’m so glad I don’t have to do that miserable job anymore! Freezing rain is the absolute worst!
  • Its mind boggling to me that people will let their car get hit by a train vs just driving through a flimsy red and white stick! How do these people get this far in life only to have all sense instantly evaporate?
  • 14:50 "cleared of any wrong doing" wtf? How about occasionally checking your mirrors. 17:17 Deliberately trying to kill someone on the road and no charges were filed? Wtf would it take?

6:55 I'll never understand people who would rather have their entire car destroyed then ram through barriers designed to be broken through in the case of being stuck in between the barriers.

Two miles from his exit, all he had to do was stay behind the semi until he got to his exit. You’ll never win against a semi, he could have been killed.

Even though the lady at the train crossing was unlicensed, the arms went up, signaling it was safe to cross. The semi was almost a victim, too.
  • Wow, Jose was on the ball disconnecting the air lines on the semi. He deserves a metal for that 🎖🏆If you read this Jose you are awesome!!!

So in that first video I'm pretty sure the driver of the pickup truck was checking the rearview mirror and pulled into that driveway and avoided being hit. I'd bet a lot of people just focus on what's in front of them and have no idea what's happening behind them.

OTR driver here.. if im tired im not driving i dont care what my dispatch says.. they preach safety and i live by my safety first!!

There has been a big disconnect in rail road crossings. The stop sticks that drop are meant to be broken in emergencies. They are not solid steel beams.

Great vision from the silver truck driver.
  • 2:07 “according to the woman filming, the roads froze over in less than 10 minutes” and 0:53 “why aren’t they salting the road yet?” That’s next level stupidity, expecting authorities to hop in their cars and salt that specific rural road within minutes. “I put the stew in the oven 14 seconds ago, why isn’t it ready yet???” 😂

Im constantly amazed how oblivious people are to their surroundings! That shiny thing that looks like a window into an alternate universe, is actually what is called a mirror and it shows things behind you. I'm constantly scanning my surroundings and my mirrors. WAKE UP!
