I love the fact that you show if it's possible for "car camping" in the vehicles you test. Please continue to do this in your following tests. :)

Yeah, smaller battery, less resources needed, 220 miles realistic range - Toyota hit a sweet spot. Works for most consumers, including me and my family. Other than that, it’s just as solid as every Toyota.

Hey Ryan, I love the transparency of your channel, you record the good and leave in the not so good, you have the best channel, I just don’t understand why you don’t have 1 million Subs but I’ll be here when you do reach that 1 million plateau!!

Modern cars - "I see you are in a high stress situation. Let me scream as loudly as possible, non-stop. Is your blood pressure raising yet? No? Ok, I will try high pitch screaming."
  • @anah7249
Your channel is the best car channels in all YouTube. Thank you so much.

I really like these tests of "soft-Roaders". Because I would never buy a full 4x4, but I do like to see which of the "Soft-Roaders" have reasonable rough dirt road capability.

I’m fortunate in the sense that I have a Subaru Crosstrek and an EV for commuting. Recently went on a trip to the American southwest in the Subaru. Cruising the desert, exploring ghost towns, encountering soft sand and hard rocks, etc…the Subaru was the clear winner between which vehicle to take for the trip. Gas stations were already spread out and scarce, EV stations literally non existent. Love both of these vehicles but even Ray Charles can see that taking an EV off road just isn’t there yet outside of a purpose built recreational road park.

Wahoo... You added a sandpit, and I see it claimed it's first victim! lol... Thank you so much for doing this.

The alarms were stressing me out watching this.. I could just imagine how loud it was in the car. Good vid by the way.
  • That Subaru awd system is good!! I wish Toyota would address the problems that’s holding this EV back like charging speed and range, even though I wouldn’t use all 220 miles unless I’m Driving to Los Angeles. I just love my gas vehicles so much lol

I really enjoy your truthful and real-world rooted reviews. Thank you for all of the great content~

sad that this (and the Solterra twin) are (regulation) compliance vehicles; only designed to meet the requirement and nothing more or beyond the requirement. I'm not sure where these 2 cars will go or if they'll spawn an entire line (think VW I.D.), but it is clear the first effort was mediocre/Grade 'C' at best. Must do better...a lot bwtter.
  • @edsmith9855
This car seems like an early effort model that came late in the game. Slow charging and relatively short range are major negatives. The AWD system actually seems quite good, but who would take this car any distance off road? Anyway, as always, yours is my favorite channel. Really look forward to your videos.

That thing went full melt down sequence! 🤣🚫☢️🤖 I'll stick to my gas powered Forester with xmode!
  • @surasohna126
This is the best car I’ve ever owned I honestly think it’s better than the tesla
  • @DavGreg
I cannot believe that Subaru signed off on the Solterra badged version of this. No spare tire, no range to go anywhere, does not charge up to standard, goofy Toyota styling complete with mascara stains, a front air dam that is sure to get damaged in even mild off roading, that bizarre dashboard, that goofy split sunroof. These things (Toyota badged version) have been going well below sticker price - when I was car shopping last fall they were offering about $10k below sticker. We can all see why. BTW- no glove box, either.
  • @MarcGaerlan
Toyota made a good decision letting Subaru engineer the AWD. I believe if there were more ground clearance it would have made it out of the sand pit. Also, a good reminder to always bring traction boards. 🙂

Always informative! More power! Would you be able to try a basic sr5 4runner ok you test field. Thanks
  • @ParzivalHB
The BZ4X looks great and I like the cockpit design. The range is fine for 95 percent of the working stiffs and commuters especially if you can charge from home.
