Hello all! Welcome to Mini Son Of Monsterpalooza 2020, a three day event that was broadcast live on Instagram, September 25-27, 2020. The three days were filled with special guests who stopped by my "booth" and said hello.

My first guest was TOM WOODRUFF JR.- co-founder of Studio ADI, legendary makeup FX artist, creature creator, suit performer, and Academy Award winner! Tom was such a wonderful first guest to have on my little show. Not only is he a makeup and creature FX legend in the biz, but he has also been a good friend for several years now. His love for film is deep seeded in films like “Planet of the Apes”, “Mighty Joe Young” and “King Kong”. Do you see a theme there? Gorillas have been a passion of his and so many other monster builders, and we talk a bit about that. Tom was lucky enough to be able to create a stop motion short film in 2017 using the original “Mighty Joe Young” armature. It’s entitled “Steel in Love”, and it’s a beautiful tribute to those old films. You can find it on YouTube. Tom is definitely a performer, as well as makeup man. He’s played many on screen creatures such as the Alien in "Alien 3", "Alien Resurrection", the title creature in "Pumpkinhead", Gillman in "The Monster Squad", Bernie the gorilla in "Zookeeper", as well as many other gorillas for a multitude of film and television projects. The thing I really love about Tom is that he’s a fan. A fan of film and film monsters. He enjoys our rich history of the monster craft and it shows in his enthusiasm when he talks about it.... And don't even get him started on Adam Wests Batman!
