In this episode of Rad Rides, the team takes on the iconic record of the naturally aspirated flat head gas roadster... or, for those "in the know" the XF/GR. Rad Rides takes you through the painstaking processes of keeping everything by the book while still pushing limits. They again prove their ability with the ingenuity it takes to make these cars legendary. Does it take home the record?

Dad had a flathead hot rod back in the 30’s. Mom related how she rode along and hand pumped the pressurized fuel tank on top end runs on the highway the racers would block off. Dad’s made 100 which was a benchmark for a street rod in those days. Great vid.

  • WOW!!! The in depth detail from Troy is awesome. Being that close to the 200mph mark you'd have to be thinking that's our Impossibly easy mark.

You don't give Matt enough kudos, imo. He funded this venture, for the most part, and he supplied the intestinal fortitude that it takes to pilot a vehicle of this nature.
  • thanks! I wouldnt mind seeing more of the inside baseball stuff..
