Hands down my favorite anime of all time. Gintama is a very unique shounen. Gintama has every genre and op 13 is a masterpiece. also op 17 arc is THE BEST ARC i've seen in any anime

If you ever feel Gintama openings are cheating or lazy. Remember, they made a Paint version of one of the opening (I forgot the number). It's not fanmade, it's official. Paint ver opening aired on tv.

When you asked how did we get to a space war in opening 21 well since episode 1, aliens (called amanto) were already a prominent thing in the plot as well as space travel and they even have gone to different planets for some arcs. They didn’t really show the sci-fi aspect of Gintama until the later openings but yeah

20:30 "it's not because they have died, but because he misses them us family" Hhhhhhhh πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£ Poor man, little do you know that he wants to get rid of them family, and not mi

You were so off in OP 10 hahaha. The OP 1-8 were all season 1. It was back in the Early 2000s. The main catch of the Anime are the Characters rather than the Plot. But when the Plot comes together it's mind blowing. It's mainly comedy but when action and drama comes every 25 episodes or so... It's really hype and sad. The Anime is full of life lessons. Btw my favorite OP is OP 2 hahaha It will feel very nostalgic once you finished or about to finish the anime. You'll look for the good old days when they were happy, chilling and laughing. I prefer to see them that way because it hurts seeing them serious and knowing what they've been thro in life. Behind their crazy antics hides a painful past. Btw I can't take your theories seriously because this Anime doesn't take their fans/viewers seriously. That's all.

Gintama as a series has never been afraid to leave it's safe space and go out of the box. The openings in the beginning were very repetative due to budget, the first couple years of the series struggled a bit and they preferred to hold onto the budget to better animate the more serious and impactful moments, lol. It is definetly an amazing series, albeit it does start out fairly slow I do heavily recommend watching it.

The thing about Gintama if you do plan on watching the series is that the beginning is slow but mainly because it has a very subtle story telling that will gradually build up. Even in the opening it has a subtle buildup to it base around the characters or arcs whether it's a comedy or serious one. But in all honesty if you do plan on watching it ep 1 and 2 are filler take your time and if you feel as if the show is boring or dry it's fine because it's one of those were Gintama isn't really for everyone and that a lot of the Gintama fans are fully aware of.

20:20 No, you're wrong. Gintoki (the silver hair) banged them all and he had to take responsibility. So, you kinda right in the part where he "started a new life" πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ I left out many informations, cuz spoile
  • Opening 17 is the great arc, and version 4 is the best animation opening
  • @nyizaw8335
They dont show much in the openings bcuz its comedy heavy :D But as you can see the drama and actions are way worth it bcux all of the characters has been built up with the comedy. :D It sounds like filler... but gintama fillers are nothing like one piece or naruto.... the fans end up liking the fillers eventually

I've come to realize that Op 12 (Let's go Out) is pretty similar to the first three openings in terms of visual format-- and that's done on purpose because this is the Kintama Arc, which is basically a serious parody of their own show. So it's a callback to the first few openings so it works incredibly well when Kintoki later replaces Gintoki in the scenes. I'm horrified and impressed.
  • @kendra_t
Op 9 really does encompass everything great about the show and paired with its ending (17), it's perfection.

Everything you said about the starting OPs were right you could literally predict the pattern for each of the starting openings. They switched it up later on and you gave them credit for that. I'm a die hard fan of this show and I agreed with you throughout the video. Most reactors play it safe by blindly loving all the OPs to please the fans so it was refreshing to see some criticism about the obvious flaws this show had. If you ever decide to start the show just know that like the OPs the start of the show starts slow for world building purposes but when it gets to the serious parts in the latter stages of the show it is peak shounen. Very good reaction and will check out if you post more reactions from now on. Also react to the endings as well they aren't repetitive at all and each of the endings have different themes so you won't find it stale. :)
