You should go on after the Met Gala and do a series about all the sewing Youtubers that did the theme so much better than everybody else.

I swear some of these designers just literally flipped to a random page in the book and picked a sentence because it sounded pretty. I think for this year's Met Gala a lot of designers didn't understand that the audience should be able to get their reference just by looking at the outfit, and not needing to go search it up in a social media post or something.
  • That white lace catsuit with the extra fabric just thrown over it like a skirt is such a Temu moment.

"you cut her right in the middle???" living for the indignation in his voice

Small correction: Dido Belle was not herself enslaved but the daughter of an enslaved woman and was raised with her paternal relatives as part of the landed gentry in Kenwood House (the estate in Hampstead Heath, in London). The relative responsible for her upbringing was a judge who made rulings that set the precedent for the abolition of the slave trade in Britain, though he wasn't exactly an abolitionist either.

Luke becoming increasingly more annoyed with each met gala video is hilarious. Love ya! I dont understand why these people don't try more, isnt' that half of the fun?! I mean they have the money for it, so why not be CREATIVE.

I'm disappointed that no one had flower accessories made of fresh dandelions or similar flowers that would be alive to start but dead by the end of the red carpet.

Can't say it enough. I'm a woman of a certain age, w/ a life-long lack of real interest in fashion, and -- I totally enjoy Luke and HauteLeMode. He and the channel are both ENTERTAINING and SMART. Good combo!
  • Penelope Cruz actually said her dress was made from fragments of dresses from different time periods. I think she nailed it. (Specially considering she was wearing Chanel)

The advertising/ marketing degrees are degreeing right now.😂 god I freaking love the youngins sense of humor

Luke, i feel that Lily's dress is on theme and has layers of meaning. Many first nation people kept track of Solstices and in fact had buildings and stone circles to observe them. The observance of Solatices were used to determine the best time to plant and care for the gardens that fed the people. These people were consummate gardeners to ensure the life of the people. She is the flower under the night sky ensuring the life of her people.🌸
  • Dido wasn't enslaved. Her mother was a slave, her father wasn't and brought her to his father's place while he went off traveling. She's with her cousin. But Dido being a Black woman couldn't do a lot of things her white cousin could do anyway. She still managed to marry well, and do well. But they were raised like sisters which is why they are placed unusually equal in the portrait.

We should have a top three bogus bullshit theme explanations 😂
  • @InanaNinsianna
Maybe the people who didn’t dress to theme are representing the Bourgeois hordes relentlessly encroaching on the garden of the Count and Countess.
  • @pbelle1971
“I’m not the Kansas City Chefs kicker”…😂😂😂
  • @M0odyBlue
You are the wittiest fashion commentator on YouTube. I LOVE your videos!! Thank you so much for what you do.
  • @tootsmcgee
I was not expecting to hear Luke roast H&M quite that hard but honestly it was one of the funniest things I've heard this week 🤣🤣
  • @odyssaq
Epic effort on this series Luke 👏 If they're going to let H&M keep attending, I half expect to see Shein in the future. I mean they at least would be on theme with frayed and degraded fabrics 🫠
