Genuinely surprised you never tested the TSR2 & TSR3. Two of the best drivers I have ever played. C-19 made titanium more expensive and carbon cheaper, Titleist chose the right route (full titanium) and crush everything…IMO.

The difference is Titleist and Ping are a 2-3 year cycle really taking their time to perfect the product instead of just pumping something out every January to sell product. The TSr and G430 still blow most of the other manufactures drivers away. GT will be no exception.

after missing the TSR line completely, there's a real opportunity to show the titleist havers some love by comparing the TSR line up with the GT line up. loving the HIT channel content flowing
  • Would love a TSR3 review! At least a comparison to the GT when it comes out! Great work Rick!

Adams golf had a GT in their driver line up way back in the day. Early 2000’s.
  • As an Australian we love when companies launch at the start of our golf season.

Will you even review the GT drivers considering you never reviewed the TSR. They are the most played driver on tour and no review…..
  • @MABirkeland
I own the TSR2 and can’t imagine a better driver… but leave it to Titleist 😮

Launching a driver in March gives the brand time to pick up some marketing steam for the season. The same is true of September for Christmas revenue.

Don’t forget, tour players literally travel with Titleist techs. They can have a driver built to their specs and on the range with very little effort. The brands make it really easy to get their products onto the course.

I played Cleveland for years, from the 90's (VAS+ 792) through the early 2010's (TA5 gunmetal)...then I did Ping G410 irons and Taylormade driver (M3-M5-Stealth-Stealth2)....now it is Callaway AI Smoke driver but the irons are Titleist T200. I went from a Stealth 4 rescue to a TSR 7 wood and am so happy. Because of the feel of that club, I will definitely give the new GT a look.

Hi Rick & Guy, thanks for another great show all good points on the new 😊 thanks for the news on the Titleist release Rick the seems to a recurring theme on doing cleanup on the desktop. Today a stare up to the ceiling, hope nothing comes crashing down 😂

I play a Titleist driver, but have always thought that if you release a driver every 2 years, that driver is going to be behind the competition for that second year.
  • @jacobray7494
I was never really a fan of titleist drivers but after they released the TS series they really have been coming out with some bangers.
  • @michaeleads9294
I know Titleist has the TSR 2 wood but i would like to see a GT Mini Driver as well. I know this is a possible phase for these mini drivers, but some people would like to have one.
  • @brettharris628
I would have the reason theres a delay in from when the drivers are on tour to available in store is an operational one because it give them time to make sure they stocks so the consumer doesnt have a long wait after they place the order.

Titleist starts an early production. This way they do less expansion and retraction of the production line. They are already pumping so they give it to your pros for the marketing. The tour feedback never changes anything. But I agree with Rick the best time to release a golf club is the earlier in the season, not later. Anyway the largest problem with Titleist is the fact the factory has more saying than the engineers. If the engineers wants to do something, but the factory says no. That’s it for Titleist. For other brands who use the vendors, if one says no they go to other. But titleist owns the factory and I think it’s their biggest weakness. Even when the factory produces what’s inferior to the earlier generation, they can’t do a thing about it.

Love my TSR3, heard the GT is a “drop in” upgrade with a little different sound, slightly more ball speed/distance, and little better dispersion/forgiveness.
  • @connort3186
I play a TSI2 and it’s the best driver ive ever had by a mile, about 3 years in the bag now
