Ahead of the "Killers of the Flower Moon," family members of victims of the Osage Murders spoke on the century old Oklahoma tragedy.

Among them was former Osage Nation Principal Chief Jim Gray, the great grandson of Henry Roan and the grand daughter of Mollie Burkhart. Both individuals are portrayed in the Martin Scorsese movie, with William Belleau as Roan and Lily Gladstone as Burkhart.

Amazing that mollies granddaughter is alive n well. Shows that even with the reign of terror the osage people still continue on.
  • They were given life in prison but paroled and even pardon. What a disgrace

It haunts me how sad it is. Great movie but Mollie must of died absolute broken.
  • My mom, daughter and myself saw the movie last night. We thought the story was very well told. I’m sorry your family went through such tragedy and constant heartbreak. This should be known to all people and kept in history not to shame but to learn from the past so “we” can do better in the future.

It must be very weird that she is also related to William Hale being her great-great uncle.... 0_0

IMO, Mollie did love Ernest, and in a crazy blind way, she found it hard to accept his involvement in her family's murders. IMO, Ernest had feelings for Mollie, but his greed ran deeper than his love for her. It was such a sad story, but it shows how money, having it or not, can change people. In this case, it changed life for generations.

i will still talk about this and my thoughts will share the grief.forever.😢😢
  • Hurts the heart to think how many Osage were lost due to greed. Rest in Peace to Mollie and the rest of her family.

  • the story that happened about this indigenous community. A reflection of human greed is a lack of humanity. Throughout the history of the Americas, many indigenous peoples were massacred, exterminated and their lands were invaded. To this day, in South America, indigenous communities are threatened because their land contains valuable minerals, timber or land invasions.

Trusting people who have systemically wiped out your people generation after generation is wild.
  • This is an amazing accurate depiction in a movie the life of Mollie Burkhart and an achievement of a true life story in "Killers of the flower moon".
  • So glad this movie was made. I have SO MUCH RESPECT AND SYMPATHY for Americas First Peoples in general. Their history should be/deserves to be more front and centre.
