Blumhouse just gave us a glance at the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's movie (coming to theatres October 27th, 2023) and so today I have decided to do my first ever reaction to the teaser trailer!

For copyright reasons, unfortunately I cannot show the trailer on screen in this video. If you would like to see and hear what I am reacting to, make sure to check out the full reaction on my second channel, here:

The red eyes seem to be so that they can put the animatronics in dark shots and still see where they are. If you replace the red eyes with black, that shot of the eye looking back through the ballpit has no power.

I'm very glad that the movie doesn't seem to be too heavily meme-inclusive. I'm sure there will be references and cameos, but definitely not as heavy-handed as a lot of people on Freddit seem to have wanted. From this trailer I would expect it to be done a lot like Super Mario Bros where the references are everywhere and you can easily identify them, but most of the time they aren't lampshaded and instead are just there in the background.

I have a theory, just like in into the pit, when Mike falls into it unconscious for some reason he's see visions of the dead kids

I love that ur falling in love with josh

when people’s criticism of a film adaptation is just the eyes, i think theres not much to criticize

people complain about the red eyes while i’m over here being the happiest man alive because they didn’t make them talk

I think this teaser packed in a LOT of stuff! I’ve seen teaser trailers for other things where you barely saw anything at all.
  • Regarding the red eyes, I would have preferred if they had purple eyes to link them to William Afton; it would be a simple change that kept to the trope, while making it unique to FNAF.

Outside of that, though, I like the trailer: The look is spot-on, the tone feels just right, and the fact they’re seemingly going to highlight the kid’s souls gives me hope… also, Matthew Lillard as William Afton is just perfect casting to me, I can’t wait to see him in the role and to see a more streamlined version of the story.

It would be so cool if they make another trailer but it's a recreation of the trailer from FNAF 1

I guess the reason why they're running in the forest is to get away from Slenderman

The past several months I kind of got bored with Five Nights at Freddy's it just lost my interest. just like I lost my interest an anime which I've been watching pretty much my whole entire life.
