Whenever players like Vassily Ivanchuk and Garry Kasparov meet over the board, you can be sure of a fight. Both players are kings of the initiative, and thrive in dynamic environments. Ivanchuk and Kasparov played this game in 1994 at the 8th Euwe Memorial tournament. A Sicilian Defense, Najdorf is present with Kasparov striking early at Ivanchuk's pawn duo. Ivanchuk saw this as his opportunity to pounce as early as move 10.
